“‘I do not feel good... I don't like the way he treated me': Liverpool outcast Alberto Moreno hits out at Jurgen Klopp after being frozen out’

Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno has expressed his frustration with manager Jurgen Klopp, saying 'I did not like the way he has treated me'.

With Andrew Robertson firmly established as Liverpool's first-choice left-back, Moreno has been on the periphery of proceedings this season, to the extent that he has made just two appearances in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old is out of contract in the summer and seems likely to depart if his situation persists.

'I do not feel good, that is the truth,' Moreno told Cadena Ser (via Football Espana).

'I hurt myself giving everything for this team and I think that when I came back from injury, I deserved an opportunity.

'The situation is normal for a lot of players but simply I did not like the way he (Jurgen Klopp) has treated me, you can say that.'

Prior to joining Liverpool in 2014, Moreno had spent his entire career in Spain with Sevilla.

Moreno indicated that he is open to the prospect of returning to his homeland.

He said: 'Moving back to Spain is something I have thought about, I am tired of the cold here but I do not know about interests from other clubs.

'I am in my fifth year here, there is no agreement on a renewal and in January I am free to listen to any offer.'

Moreno may not be happy but that is in stark contrast to the general mood surrounding Liverpool at present, with Klopp's side six points clear at the top of the Premier League.

Liverpool thrashed Newcastle 4-0 on Boxing Day and now turn their attention to two intriguing fixtures as they host Arsenal on Saturday before facing Manchester City away next week. “

What’s thoughts? Keep him as back up? Or Adios?

Bye Alberto!
You should have been gone last summer or the summer before that.

See if someone will buy him for any fee in Jan ... I'm ok with Milner backing up Robbo there, or that kid Macca mentioned even.

The way he's going on it's as if Klopp has a personal vendetta against him.

No, Alberto, you're just not very good at football.

There were times when he seemed to be putting a run of decent form together, but he's failed to sustain any of them and we have a far better option now in any case. We do need another option at LB (Milner can always "do a job" but it isn't his best position and he's in the twilight of his career anyway) but Moreno needs to move on.

What Woland said, the only tiny reason I'd hesitate from pushing him out the door is that he's mates with a few of the good players.

I'm sure we've a list of left backs the length of your arm prepared for his departure in the summer

Haha! That's kind of funny that he pipes up! I mean he's shit, probably knows he's shit (or at least punching above his weight) - He'd be lucky to be playing in Turkey or MLS next season the useless bellend.

It is wonderful news when the shittiest players in the squad are agitating for a move rather than the best. Cheers Moreno, and adios.

Moreno was playing very well before his injury, however Robertson seized his chance and has been largely faultless since. There is never any need for Klopp to take a massive risk on playing Moreno. He's cost us far too many points in his time here and I won't shed a tear when he leaves.

Mouthing out about it now also won't help his plans of finding a new club is a pretty stupid move from a stupid man.
