RBL MANAGING DIRECTOR OLIVER MINTZLAFF:

  • "We are very pleased with UEFA's positive decision. This decision follows a detailed analysis and is the result of an open and transparent exchange with UEFA at all times. In this constructive process, changes have been made with our shareholders to comply with the rules on the integrity of the competition. We are now part of UEFA and are looking forward to the Champions League together with our competitors. "

Looks like they (Red Bull) shifted some shares over to the supporters club ...

Sounds like a dodgy deal. but hey its UEFA after all.

After years of having one paced but wingers, we finally realise the importance of pace. Even a shit player can look half decent if they have some pace. We now have 2 players with pace, exciting times.

What happened to the days when we'd have our cocks out waiting for the arrival of potential signings at the airport once they touched down. So disappointed in modern football.

You've been on a downer about this signing throughout this thread! Then you think people should be waving flags around at the airport.

I'm pumped for this signing , think coutinho , mane, Salah and whoever will have a field day

If you compare his price tag to Andy Carroll's you think what a bargain were getting in terms of talent

Lallana barely makes it past 75mins anyway. Him and Coutinho will rotate with Salah.

Also, if Mane can play the odd game central, they could all start. With Salah on the right, Couts back on the left. Lallana attacking mid.

Heh, if Sturridge stays fit for more than 5mins, Origi puts his shit end to the season behind him (and looks a potential star again), and Solanke takes his U20s form forward, I'd sacrifice a big ticket CF like Lacazette/PEA, if it means we can sort out the CB position with VVD and bring in Keita, and a top prospect at LB. That would represent a good summer to me.

We can save our pennies up in the summer of 2019 to purchase a CF (and maybe GK), as those would be our likely problem positions.

I can't say I was pumped when we were first linked with him. Because he burned us 3 years ago.

But now he's ours, i'm willing to stoke to hype fire.

I was hesitant towards our pursuit of Salah at first but after one too many AFCON jokes I have decided to just jump on the bandwagon at least until we know for sure whether Liverpool are eligible to enter the next edition of the African Cup of Nations or not.

That's the spirit!

Why on earth would you put Coutinho there when Salah can play equally well on the left or right ??

I think I like the idea of Salah, Coutinho, Lallana, Firmino, Mane, Gini all floating round, Sturridge and Origi ready and waiting to support. New DM a la Kante would be tops as well, would look good all that.
If no-one goes, Solanke comes in, Ings gets back training, I'm not sure we need to look any further. Injuries aside, plenty of bodies there, plenty of options.
Might just be getting excited now there's a signing on the horizon.

Since January we have been moaning game after game about a lack of players with both rocket pace and output. We have identified one and are about to sign on the dotted line very early in the window (maximising his time with Klopp) - yet there are pockets of people (the same who have cited this lack of pace almost to death) who want to try and compare him to Jermaine Pennant.
