The first part in a trilogy, with parts II & III to be played simultaneously on Sunday.

Part I, City v Villa.

So what do we all expect from this tonight? Villa to put up a fight but be destroyed, them to roll over? City nerves leading to a draw?

Thought we may as well have a thread to stick the prematch & match talk in, cos I'm sure of few will be watching it...

Every match that our rivals have slipped up in I've watched the first half of on my tablet & switched onto the TV for the last 20 minutes of, so I'll be doing the same.

I think city will be nervous, will go out all guns blazing fail to score & nerves will kick in before they get a goal & vital reply to secure a nervy 1 all draw, & I'll be fucking fuming.

Can't see anything other than a City win. My only hope is an early Villa attack, Agbonlahor through on goal gets brought down by Hart; penalty and red card for Hart...................then I might start to believe that Villa can get the win.

I'm well up for watching this. Villa on their day can be very good. I'm not being too optimistic though after all I'm not a moron. (no offence to @moron)

Gary Neville after we lost to Chelsea:
“Aston Villa are a bit of a stupid team at times, because they can go and win a game that surprises you, with Andreas Weimann and Gabriel Agbonlahor on the break. City could get complacent – and they’ve shown previously they can sometimes have silly results."

Hopefully he's right. I woke up this morning thinking the game was over and wanted to check the results. Then I remembered it was the wrong day. I think I'll wake up in the middle of the night for this one. Hopefully I don't have to switch to watch the Sunderland game after 10 minutes.

I think Aggie is out injured unfortunately. Would be nice to think Villa would at least show as much interest in the game as Palace did on Monday.

Which means you'll be watching every min, of course.

Heh. Nope. I stayed away from the Everton game following the Chelsea game and after the Palace debacle there is even more reason to give their game a miss.

I'm going to watch Game of Thrones or something and then check the score after the game has finished to see if miracles do happen.

There is no way I'm going to watch this.

Me neither .. on a flight to HK 2 hours after it ends so need some (well a lot) of beauty sleep. Hope when I check the score before leaving the house it gives me one almighty boost, not holding my breath like.

No benteke or agbaonglor.

5-0 city. 🙁
Carroll to destroy them Sunday.
West ham drew with Chelsea, gave us a great game.
You never know

Don't do this to yourself guys.

Almost everyone expects a city win or draw, so I don't think anyone is fooling themselves.

There's probably a less than 10% chance that villa will pull something off, but fuck it, we can hope so long as there is a chance, however small it may be.

Ha, that was my first thought aswell.
Agbonlahor is a doubt so I hope he'll play. Someone said Lambert is a Liverpool fan, dont know if thats true.

If City score first the game is over. Aguero is out though.

Lads, lets not do this. Even if Villa take the lead, City will still win. Same with West Ham. Forget about it. The league is gone.

We just need to make sure we confirm 2nd place, and not hand it to the chav cunts.

I've got a shit loads of ribs to cook tonight, I'm gona scran then all watching the city game, take a minute to try after city when by shit loads of goals then get a nice lovely bath and throw the toaster in with me

I'm going to go to the official opening of a fancy new cocktail bar, get hammered on free booze and ignore this game
