Ward has had a decent season, playing regularly. Karius has had minimal action but does have a greater reputation from his time in Germany but has struggled to adapt. Due to their ages, I don't think it's appropriate for either to be number 2, they could technically only play a handful of games next year and that cannot be good for their progress.
Loan 1 out until Jan, then loan the other for the rest of the year, giving them both 3-4 months of regular game time.
It's all very well people suggesting he should be replaced but we don't need another Karius situation.
For me he has proved he can be the keeper we require in the past 6 months. Unless a truly better keeper becomes available then we have more pressing areas to address.
I'll through this in though. If Casper Schmeichel was available and wanted to join, should we take him? For the right price of course - I've excluded, Lloris, Courtois and De Gea from that because I think they're all no brainer decisions as they are better. But we won't be getting any of them.
