Heh ? What the fuck do you mean we are not signing Bellingham ? He is coming to us right ? Thats why we aint signed no mids last summer or even after Gini left right ? Are you serious ? You mean we have been through the shit we have been through this season and we arn't getting Bellingham ? It was all for him wasnt it ? Thats what Top Reds assured us all ....in the words of Obi, other Jedi, Klopp, FSG...he was supposed to be the chosen one for fucks sake. Isnt he the reason we did not sign a main team doctor, extra tea lady..etc

The sell to buy model requires you to sell players but we don't sell, we let them walk for free. So try coining another term that doesn't include sell

We did sell, and we did it well. Look at the money we got for Torres Sterling Coutinho Suarez. 300m thereabouts for those 4 alone.

Look at the money we got for the trash, Allen Sakho Benteke Ings Solanke Ward Mignolet Kent Lovren Ibe the list goes on.

I think the issue is none of these were Klopp signings so he never had no loyalty to show them, Klopp's been here 7 years now.....I think the only players he's signed that are no longer here are Gini (who would still be here if he accepted the new deal), Karius, Taki and Sadio.

You know full well what I'm on about, playing Mr. finger up the owners bum doesn't cut it here....go have a look at the net spend chart KingBinny posted on the other thread, because you'll see we don't make the top 10 in Europe....I'd be surprised if we even made the top 20.

Were those 3 players not funded by the departures of Coutinho Sakho, Mane Neco and Taki. Yes or No?

It truly is an utterly staggering level of failure by everyone involved. So much so that it's very hard for me to move past it to look at the solution.
I know that it doesn't help to dwell on this at all - all our energy should be focused on the solution to the problem - but fucking hell I think that firing anyone who was involved and publically shaming them would go some way to making amends for this almighty cockup.
THe fact that we miss out on Bellingham because of this is just icing on the cake.

Let’s blame Ward - he’s leaving and it was his job to identify and sign players.

Sigh. I wish we doubled down on the system we had when we won CL and PL. Instead we've changed gears trying to play like hybrid City team.

Thiago is a special player but we shouldn't have bought him.

Nunez, Gakpo, Elliott... I still don't see the plan. Maybe actually having a midfield behind them will make the strategy clearer for me.

All teams should hold Chelsea to ransom and not pay inflated fees. They will be desperate to offload players to recoup some of their outlay and also still intend spending in the summer
 
It's Todd Boehly, what do you expect. This is a guy that does media interviews saying they're gonna beat Madrid 3-0, he goes and signs players like Enzo and Mudryk for 200m. He wants to introduce a mix where US teams play EPL teams during the summer. The guy hasn't a clue.

It's obviously not Frank Lampard putting that valuation on him is it.

While wearing cleats, boot cut jeans, a ridiculously large watch, being paid for by both Nike, shirt sales and money Barca owe us while pointing out he’s two-footed, would definitely be in our best XI and isn’t a flabby melt.
