Anyone who doesn't think we're shit or that the manager isn't doing a shocking job in recent times is fucking clueless.

Ryan has hit the nail on the head in this thread.

I don't understand. He was offside as fuck, huge mistake by the linesman.

Commentators are making it out like it could go one way or the other.

Great game, we're dominating but unluckily we're down.
I think we can get back into it. Just need to score two goals. We can do it. Dalglish tactics are spot on Ryan. You're the one who's deluded. We've been making progress all season long. He deserves another season, despite the Carling cup win.
We probably have the best squad in the league.

I doubt most fans who've called for his head really give two shits about him ...

I wonder if fans today had been through Shanks' first few seasons - or even Watson's - would they have had the chances to do what they did? I strongly doubt it.

I don't think critical fans is such a new phenomenon, even if the internet is. Didn't Paisley once call our fans a bunch of layabouts after they booed his team or a substitution or something?

Anyway, sadly football is very different today from in Shankley's time. The financial stakes are the main thing that limits the patience of owners, not the fans. Failure to make the top 4 after spending a lot of money has real implications for their investment.

when a player is standing 5 yards offside when the ball is played to him and reaches him I think that is more than a excuse.

not sure I follow. Those are all true. I don't mean that to take Kenny off the hook, because he bears a portion of responsibility for quite a few of those things, but what would you have us talk about in these threads if you rule all those items as "making excuses?"

Why is it that KD seems to be immune from criticism? If this was Uncle Woy, there would be knives out left, right, and centre... This is the worst form we have been in for more than 10 years. Rafa (and RH) was sacked for less that this level of performance.

We're 2-0 down, and we have 2 men in the box hoping to get the better of the 5 or 6 toon players. I don't understand this.

We just haven't enough spunk in midfield. That's our main problem.

Spearing isn't top 6 material
Gerrard isn't the player he was.
Shelvey is raw.

The bench isn't any better.

Given Lucas is likely to need a good deal of time to recover his form, we're going to need at least two top central midfielders in the summer to get competitive.

I admire your loyalty Wiz but you can surely see that KD is, to at least some extent, culpable for our current run of defeats?

Yes, he's having a terrible run - no one can deny that. Managers, like players, tend to have them (remember Wenger earlier this season?). However, there has been a positive shift this year (even ask Ross). If he doesn't walk, I'd give him another year. We're not as bad as some are making it out to be ... It's just the attitude of the microwave generation of footy fans.

Mierelles & Aquilanni?
