It is sad that the people who did something important with the club have to leave by the back door.

TonyBarrett has been tweeting that Mascher leaving was 'much more complex than it seemed' in his defence to some criticism. He claims it's not his place to give the full story but Maschers.
Fair enough. Everyone knew it was on the cards for a longtime though with the stories about his missus and his alleged agreement regards waiting to go Barca. I still don't really understand why they bought him if they haven't played him, unless they've realised he doesn't fit their stringent 'pass and move' policy.
Despite everything I wouldn't be surprised if, deep down (very deep down admittedly), part of Masher didn't want to go. He never, ever gave less than 100% on the field - even in his very last game against the Arse he was MOTM. It may simply be that he's lost form.

If they want someone to blame. They should blame themselves for their stupid comments declaring their love and loyalty to the club. If Agger left because he was unhappy - nobody would batter an eyelid and although we would be disapointed, we wouldnt be that Angry with him. His comments have always been balanced and highlight his views that Football is just something he does for a job.
