Saw this mentioned somewhere on Twitts.

There is an international break at the end of March and the South American players are going to get hit with a 10/14 day quarantine stay when they fly back (unless some sort of exemption is made).

Surely this is grounds to decline the games for us? Brazil play on 25th and 31st March meaning our players would miss fixtures against Arsenal and Villa on return.

I'm pissed just thinking about it.

It's qualifiers so we can't stop them from going.
A lot can change between now and then. If it stays the same, yeah we're in trouble. I hope the covid situation is better then.

The UK is limited travel to and from certain countries - I don't see why we can't do this. It interferes with our season. I'll be pretty disappointed if we don't find a way to stop it. I haven't looked at all fixtures but I suspect same would apply for Portugal (Jota) too.

The UK is on track to have vaccinated all the priority groups by the beginning of April, so things should start opening up from there. I would think international quarantine rules would be one of the first things to be eased.

surely the things protecting against new strains would be the last?

open up hospitality and offices for those in the UK before we start letting new strains spread around again
