I'm all for being bitter and small time macroscopically by the way, so feel free to watch Man U play in a competition we aren't in and won't be in next year, all the while hating and willing them to lose.

But the microscopic bitterness? That's just distasteful.
Arsed abaa it being distasteful. It's loads of fun.

It's quite funny re:Torres, but for some reason I'm not revelling in it
Because it's bitter and small time as fuck to revel in some cunt who used to score for us not scoring as Man U get closer to the final?
Maybe. It's odd though. A player I loved betrayed us and I don't give 2 shits. Feels odd..
I know the bloomin' reason, Jr. Windever !
I've actually took the piss out of her several times about torres and how shit he is. So it's not that

It isn't bitterness as far as I'm concerned. I genuinely take pleasure in watching him suffer. Think of it this way. If someone raped your youngest daughter, then you would take pleasure from their pain. It's nothing to do with being bitter or small time. What's right is right.

Thoughts:

1) I don't get how this Manc team keeps on winning. Are they really that good? Unfortunately so. I fucking hate their guts.
2) Wasn't it Fergie who complained about an opposing player trying to get one of his players sent off? You fucking hypocritical wanker - every single time a Manc player went down, hands in the air, 'imaginary card' wave etc etc ... Twats
3) That Mexican lad is like RvN - always in the right space at the right time. Let's hope he has a harder time in his second year.
4) Ancelotti blew this by not starting his best striker. What a stupid, Roman-influenced move.
5) I almost feel sorry for Torres. Yes, he's a cunt but still ...
6) Ryan Giggs sealed his place today as the greatest player of all time. Even the Israeli commentators were jerking off about him non-stop. "37 year old" blah blah balh
7) Manure are going to do the treble ... again. cunts.

He's a cunt and I think it's boss that he's suffering. Fuck Utd. Fuck Chelsea and fuck Fernando Torres. With a cherry on top.

O.....k..........what if the "youngest daughter" (or any daughter, for that matter) doesn't exist ?

It's not just Torres' tears i'm enjoying. It's the whole deal of us having them off. They paid 50m. 50m and he's pretty much fucked their whole team up with his titty fucking lip. I hope all those professional, jokey, mates bird shagging cunts fucking hate the tit.

I don't think we could be tempting fate any more with all this "Utd won't win..." talk.

They'll be in the final and both Barca and Real are vulnerable to a team that defends well and is exceptional on the counter.

United won't do the treble
No. They'll probably only do a double. Useless cunts!

It is tempting fate, but I just can't see it. a double? Most probably. Treble? Unlikely

Stan Collymore is such a Foghorn Leghorn that I can hear him on 5Live......as he broadcasts on Talksport.

then you quickly write a gospel stating that she does exist and that she was raped. dantes 3:16 says Torres just got his arse raped

Is that all Torres ever was? A mirage? A rich man's Darren Bent?
I genuinely believe he's physically fucked.

And his attitude doesn't help him either.
Yes, I am starting to believe the rumours that we delayed the transfer so long that Chelsea had to rush the medical, and missed how bad the knee was

He is half a yard slower than before the injury last year, and that half yard makes the difference

regard
I agree to a point. I think his attitude (or lack of one) is more of a factor. To Jonathan Wilson's point in that guardian piece, alan Shearer struggled after he came back from injury - but for pace alone, not for goals.

Fernando's worst injury is headuparse-itis.

The Guardian article makes for interesting reading although I'm not as convinced the arrival of Torres forces Chelsea's hand as much as is being suggested.

It's been recognized for a while now that the likes of Anelka, Drogba, Lampard et al aren't quite producing performances with the same level of consistency as recent seasons. There may be some mitigating factors contributing to such a downturn after winning the title last year, however it's clear the 'old guard' need phasing out with a clear plan for the future.

In terms of the way the team is set up, there was never going to be a like for like replacement for Drogba - not a ready made one anyway. They were always going to have to change their style to an extent. Arguably buying someone that has at least proven he is able to play as a lone striker effectively mitigates the risk of transition.

So Torres may or may not end up being the wrong choice, but they were always going to have to adapt their style of play going forward and they were always going to have to spend money on the squad.

Yup agreed. I think that 'rebuilding' work shows in the work they've done in the transfer window in trying to bring in younger players.

In Ramires, Luiz, and Torres they've got younger talent and 2 out of 3 so far aint that bad.

Agreed.

The mancs are good because their weakest area - midfield - doesn't try to overplay their part. They just fit in; they take the ball from a truly outstanding defence and give it to an outstanding attack. Any team with two strikers like they've currently got is going to cause anybody some troublt.

I still don't believe that they can beat Barca for the simple fact that I think Rooney will let the pressure get to him and he'll start giving away fouls and lose the plot.

If they play Mardrid - what price Rooney gets Ronaldo sent off? 😱

He's been absolute gash so far this season - but first half against the mancs he looked like Kaka at Istanbul. He can clearly take the ball forward when given the space and the mancs were leaving a paddock between their midfield and the defence for the last half hour of the first half. They needed to make something happen then cause it was always going to get closed down after the break.

No he hasn't mate. He was slow to adapt and integrate, which isn't abnormal. Over the last few months he's been their best player, and he's still playing out of position.

I'm not saying don't take pleasure in Torres' misfortune, I'm saying if the context is Man U getting closer to a treble, it seems a little bizarre to revel in it.

I live in fear of that. Do you know how many asshole mancs that spawned the world round? Things were supposed to be getting a bit better with them, and now they could be more dominant than ever. Without really being that great, just always good enough.

It's a fucking nightmare.

Yeah but Man Utd never left us for better things only to end up with a big fucking egg splattered all over their faces, so revel in the short-term satisfaction for a while and stop being so bloody obstinate and forward-thinking Fark.

Yea, I suppose. I think it might be time to give up paying for TV until the beginning of the next season. No good can come of it.

Yeah Fark, it is shit that Utd got through to the semis of the European cup. If only there was some shard of pleasure we could extract from this broken evening....
