Yeah Fark, it is shit that Utd got through to the semis of the European cup. If only there was some shard of pleasure we could extract from this broken evening....
Alright, point taken.

Is that all Torres ever was? A mirage? A rich man's Darren Bent?
I genuinely believe he's physically fucked.

And his attitude doesn't help him either.
Yes, I am starting to believe the rumours that we delayed the transfer so long that Chelsea had to rush the medical, and missed how bad the knee was

He is half a yard slower than before the injury last year, and that half yard makes the difference

regard
I agree to a point. I think his attitude (or lack of one) is more of a factor. To Jonathan Wilson's point in that guardian piece, alan Shearer struggled after he came back from injury - but for pace alone, not for goals.

Fernando's worst injury is headuparse-itis.
If I was a Chelsea supporter I would be as worried about Esssiens form as much as any of them. The injuries he's had over the last few years have made him a shadow of the player he was.

Torres isn't exactly young though.
26? he's just entering his prime.

Indeed so Themn, on the 20th March, I forgot to send him a card too.
He should be in his prime now, I would say when a player reaches 29 these days they have peaked and such is the athleticism the modern game demands in a striker by the time you are 31 you have more or less had it, and that is without dodgy knees.

I did not realise how affected I have been by him leaving and how much I actually hate Chelsea and Torres and want to see him fail until last night, when I did something I would rather not talk about on here and need to see a priest about.

A long time, and I am not saying anything as I will get a lot of pseudo scousers accusing me of not being a proper Liverpool fan

i can guess what you did....and the docs confessional isn't strong enough for this level of sacrilege... if i'm right in my guess

We all hate Manure but like Vlad I was surprised by the feelings I had yesterday. I even went and tried confessing it to a fellow red in my office, who said "You're not saying...." and I quickly found myself backpeddling "of course not...".

The thing about Torres is that it's personal. I believed in him and the crap he said. When he left, he said some shitty things that made it worse. He clearly thought he deserved better than us - he was a winner and we were losers. We weren't good enough for him.

So now that it's all gone tits up for him, I couldn't be happier. At first a lot of people thought he was right to leave Liverpool but now the whole thing has been turned on its head. People are saying that it was our way of playing that made him look so good because it suited his strengths. So not only is he struggling at his new club but his entire time at Liverpool is being reconsidered with credit for his performances moving from himself to the rest of the team and Rafa. How's that for success Nando? Not only are people saying you're playing shit but everyone's saying that you probably were never that good in the first place!

Ha ha ha fucking ha.

So often in football these days we see tasteless, classless, greedy wankers thrive so forgive me if I look at Torres's woes and think "thank you universe' that for once karma seems to have taken a hand and fuck me if it isn't a BITCH, huh Nando??!

I agree with all of that except the bit about Manure going through...

I mean they've got a pissy semi so they're going to a CL final in Wembley against Real or Barca, and I'd give my left bollock for that. They could easily win the fucking thing... I'd have been happy for him to score 5 last night if it closed that particular worry off.

Failing a nerve gas attack on the fuckers, this was how I comforted myself.

gotta say i wasn't conflicted at all. all other hatreds are as nothing compared to my absolute hatred of utd. in the grand scheme of things i honestly couldn't give a fuck about chelsea or torres.

I always avoid the game and say a little prayer for a mass brawl with severe bannings and hopefully a few injuries.

Never happens though 🙁
