anita, definately. who else?
Probably Ross with his Rosconomics.
some you win and some you lose, we sold alonso when his value was highest and look how 'that' turned out.

hahahahahaa this night couldn't have worked out any more painful for Torres hahhahaahahahahahah
Hahahahahahahaha Man U are closer to winning another title and now they are in the semi finals in Europe.

That's why I didn't watch that fucking game. You can't win.
No Facebook for a while
I don't have Man U supporting facebook friends. Wait no there's one. Some Belfast lad we met on holiday.

We're discussing footy and this lad piped up "When George Best died they release a five pound note in Northern Ireland" to which me mate Dougie retorted "When that happened I baked a cake".

put your money on barca and you will win
They are likely to get to the finals on by far the easier draw, and there anything can happen. Barcelona can absolutely be beaten.

They've got a decent chance of doing it and it makes me fucking ill.

Someone mentioned about us leaving the deal to chelsea until the last possible moment so they couldn't do a proper medical...
That was me, Chelsea didn't do a medical on deadline day. LFC doc was at a Spire hospital ready to go through all the scans and records with Chelsea over the phone but LFC said Torres couldn't join until Carroll's medical was all clear and he'd signed, byt the time that happened and we gave the Chavs the all clear they simply got him to sign the paperwork. I assume they did the medical the following day, by which time we told them that we don't offer refunds.

To Neil:

I don't think we really wanted to get rid of him though, so it's hard for us to take any credit from the transaction.

On the other hand, it's entirely justified for us to feel some schadenfreude and to be genuinely bullish about our two new centre forwards.
Totally spot on, as you have been throughout this thread.

Avvy, you know FAR too many cunts.

Feel for you.

I don't think there's any medical (scan, ultrasound, x-rays or whatever) that will tell you that a player has lost a teeny tiny bit of acceleration or reaction time - even though it was that very small thing that gave him one of his great advantages at the top level.

All the clubs seem to have the ability to measure things like that for their own players, but I wonder can they use the same tools on opposition players.

Either way you didn't need anything other than your eyes to tell you Torres isn't moving the way he used to.

All I know is (from my mate who works in the IT dept for Spire) is that our doctor Zaf Iqbal (the Asian one) was at the hospital and he was aksed what's going on, will you need the IT systems for much longer? and he basically said that Chelsea told him not to bother. (He'd been at Spire for about 3hrs) and was told around 9-10pm he wasn't required.

You should check out the Torres thread on the Chelsea forum.

Some of the posts are great.

'Well,... Dzeco's been shit too.

Hahaha

The pressure on Torres just went up a few factors tonight. The chance to have a crack at this competition was something that I'm sure convinced him it was worth turning his back on adulation at Anfield, now it is gone I'd say a dark night of the soul awaits Fernando. Now the reds who loved him hate him, the press are sharpening their knives, and the chavs won't ever want to see him start ahead of Drogba after that. If you could have written the script for him....

Thing is, we can chirp on about Torres not moving the same, or, losing a yard of pace, but he was still doing it for us (when he felt like it, allegedly).

We must have been doing SOMETHING right !

It's quite funny re:torres, but for some reason I'm not revelling in it

Exactly, he scored two beauts against Chelsea earlier this year for god's sake.

How many games has he actually played now?
I think this was his tenth. Not sure if that included Spain games also.

Because it's bitter and small time as fuck to revel in some cunt who used to score for us not scoring as Man U get closer to the final?

Man u wont win the CL. Torres is cunt.

I'm all for being bitter and small time macroscopically by the way, so feel free to watch Man U play in a competition we aren't in and won't be in next year, all the while hating and willing them to lose.

But the microscopic bitterness? That's just distasteful.

Which were his final screen test.

You're totally right in that Abramovich has to splash another 100M to make this team, with Torres, work.
