The reason why Benitez began to buy attacking full backs (in his own words) like Degen, Dossena , Johnson and Insua was because they are cheaper than decent wingers.
Of course: 6m < 25m.

I hate our style of play at times.
We either maintain possession for ages with each playing shifting responsibility of trying something creative. You can almost see the thought process as they receive the ball: 'Nah, you have a go'.
Or, when we do try and cut someone open, a shit touch from Lucas, Babel, N'gog, Maxi, Kuyt, etc, inevitably fucks it up, and the camera then cuts to Steven Gerrard's angry face and we all feel his pain.
