Hmmm, so with Klopp, Ranieri and Allardyce all showing that a change in manager can make a huge difference is it time to put to bed the idea that Ferguson aside managers don't make a difference?

Persons record at the end of last seasons was as good as Ranieri's.

Don't try and troll it's just not you, your so much better been trolled.

I'm not trolling at all. I'm pointing out examples of managers who are obviously making a huge difference.

You know how Klopp berates journalists about taking a single phrase that he says and making a headline out of it and talking about it too much without much thinking?

I like the "I don't give a fuck" attitude that Klopp has regarding team selections. The best players play and he rotates when he feels that it's necessary.
I'm not expecting Henderson for example to walk back into the team like he and others did during Brendan's time in charge. He needs to prove himself like everyone else.
Of course it's nice to be trusted by the manager even when you're not playing at your best, but it's also important to be fair.

I think Can being suspended may help Henderson gain his place more quickly.
Well Henderson has to come in and play a blinder against Newcastle.
I'm not even sure that Henderson will start considering Allen's performance.

He's actually the reason I've started posting again.

Insipid performances, litany of excuses, blame flying everywhere.media nonsense, a manager who'd somehow become bigger than the club.
'Being Liverpool'. Fuck. Off.
I didnt dare imagine how this place would be.
'Being Liverpool'. Fuck. Off. Twice.

We look different now. Happier. More confident. Belief.
Good players playing well. Crap players playing well.
Like someone emptied a tub of Zig Ziglar in everyone's water.
Anyone remember Rocky III in the fight scene when Clubber Lang tells Rocky that he's gonna 'bust you up' and Rocky says 'go for it'?
And Clubber Lang flinches.

I know, I know.
Early early early days.
Lots of messiahs.

But yeah.

That's not fair - it doesn't include non-PL games so Rodgers' record doesn't look too bad !

Note.
Rodgers' wins : Stoke (A) 1-0, Bournemouth (H) 1-0, Aston Villa (H) 3-2
Klopp's wins : Chelsea (A) 3-1, City (A) 4-1, Swansea (H) 1-0

I think we get the managers we need after giving them a good go. But the idea that they don't make a difference is as delusional as me thinking we could have beaten Newcastle 12-0. I am going to do something strange tonight and give you all a bit of "Ahmed The Butcher" and let Moron take a break.

Lets go back to Roy Evans - we had a talented team, we created loads of chances, we passed, we created and we were the nearly men if the players turned up. However, underlying all of that time was complete indiscipline, and what was also clear was that we were to lose at the back with erratic defending.

In comes GH - the changes made included a less fluid style but more direct football, with pace and power up front and reliance on goal scorers. Gone were the days of bad defending as a more solid defense was bought in with Sami at the back. More discipline (rid of the spice boys) and the rewards came with the treble and CL qualification. But like all managers - France was going down and Spain was on the way up. GH - started to believe he was doing right by buying wrong and things started to go wrong.

Rafa - cautious like GH but more fluid football with a more updated methods of playing the game, bought some good names in, and knew all about Europe. Made us challenge, and be a dominant force in Europe. Hard to say what went wrong but things went wrong - I think the pressure on the field and the way our owners behaved forced him out. Clearly no one actually knows what happened but changes were needed. Unfortunately the wrong change was made with Roy, so in came our beloved to steer us and calm the waters - we made it to two cup finals, but unfortunately our new buys did not come good immediately and we could not get the CL position.

We have Brendan - who got us playing really well and making best use of the youth and our recent investments, and we nearly did it. But again like Kenny he bought new players who did not deliver for him - and he was not able to get the best out of them. So now we have Klopp - who for now has given us belief despite some strange results - but at least I feel like the team are going to try and win and he can motivate them and knows how to get the best out of them.

So in the rubbish above you will realize that each manager has made a difference in one way or another to LFC.

Moron - I think that's a little too simplistic for GH. Basically his brush with death had a dramatic affect on him and he became a little erratic in almost everything he did thereafter, from transfers to tactics to handling the players/media. Had he not had that heart condition, with it's ensuing lucky escape (thanks to the fantastic staff at the Liverpool hospital that saved his life), I believe he really could have gone on to even greater success.

Talking of which, Gary Monk is getting sacked by Swansea. I wonder if anyone wanted him to manage us at any point?

Do we think Rodgers would go back there? They want him.

Hard to tell. He did well there before but, having been at Liverpool meanwhile, he may not fancy what he might see as a step down. Such "homecomings" don't often go well either, though I don't know to what extent that would put him off if he does want the job.
