Manchester United are set for a triple boost with the return of three key players for Sunday’s huge showdown with arch rivals Liverpool .
Paul Pogba, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw are all set to return for the Old Trafford clash, with forward Anthony Martial also understood to be in contention to make the18-man squad.

Shaw and Martial have not featured since United’s 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace back on August 24, while Pogba has missed five of their last seven games with an ongoing ankle problem, but he spent part of the international break recuperating at a warm weather training camp in Dubai.
Wan-Bissaka has missed United’s last three games after a bout of tonsillitis, but is understood to have made a full recovery during the international break and is also said to be ready to return.

We're really good now. 'Probably should win the league from here' good. Not like last season's 'we think we can push them all the way' good.

Last season we were scared of slipping up because we knew that we couldn't afford to. We did play scared in a few games that ended up costing us...

I just don't see that this season... I think we're going to win relatively comfortably on Sunday. We're just better than them, everywhere on the pitch AND we're not going there afraid to drop points... We're now approaching every game knowing we're better than the other team and finding ways to win. We're stronger and more assured than we were when we went to them last season.

I think it'll be 0-2 on Sunday and when we look back afterwards, we'll not have been troubled all that much throughout.

Danny Mills jinx us? No way. We can drop points at Old Trafford at any game there, but definately not down to Danny Mills

Martial Back is a big plus for them.

0-0 1-1 or 0-1.

It’s just a perfect result to show the unpredictability of football.

Henderson played both games for England. Any chance Milner starts in CM?

I'd play the first team including Alisson who must be fit by now.
They've got pogba and martial touch and go, but I'd expect one of them to play. Even still, their team is garbage when they're all fit.

They'll be up for this one. The fact our players are considerably fitter will be key for this. They won't be able to run hard for more than sixty minutes so we have to take advantage.

I'd like to destroy them.
Their fan base is in the pits, let's ensure we don't give them a reason to come out.
Embarrass them, make them think more seriously about relegation (it won't happen) and hopefully, it will be a 10 point gap thanks to Woy's might Palace warriors!

We have a grim record at OT, and we can 100% predict their attacking game plan, which will be rope-a-dope, with the out ball to Rashford behind Trent and him attacking with pace through that chink in our armour. It isn't rocket science, but it has worked before, and it is not beyond the bounds of reason that it could work again.

Redcafe seem to think that both Matrial & Pogba will start. I imagine both would have to be bench options given lack of match sharpness, making the first half even more important although it could play into our hands if they are off the pace in the middle of the park.

The last few weeks/month has indicated well and truly that this Man U squad has lost the plot with Ole. They clearly doesn't believe in him anymore. Not sure if it means something in this particular game, but PL teams who are not 100% focused will struggle in any game, and at least against a Liverpoolteam hungry for the title. They remind a bit about Everton, and Everton should historically give us a fight but has not done so for ages now.

This is were I'm at. They'll be defending deep and hitting in long with Rashford chasing down the wings.
How we manage the game from the beginning will be key in my opinion. If let them fight, give the fans something to cheer and that they'll get a sniff of a chance to beat us - we'll be on the backfoot. But if we come out taking control and attack them with confidence, I think the match will be won.

Its a tough one, because form goes out the window and it can be decided by a shitty penalty appeal or a red card as well.

I also think the Everton comparison is valid, but I think it is less cause for celebration than you. Everton were pretty shite last year, but they pushed us all the way in one game last season, until the miraculous combination of Prickford and Origi secured a win at the death, and they frustrated us for a draw in the other game, costing us two absolutely crucial points. Hatred and motivation from a rabid fanbase in their biggest game of the year is not something to be taken lightly.

Yeah. You are right. Everton was better against us last year than they have been for ages. And United have caused us trouble pointwise more than playwise the last few seasons as well. It must be 4 or 5 games over the last years now where my United supporting friends is quick to point out "A poor game between two poor teams," " Noone deserved a win" and other phrases which is typical for a team that has clinged to the ropes with no other objective than killing the game and getting a point against a better opponent.

Injury news from Twitter:
Salah, Alisson and Matip back in training. Shaqiri missed the latest session.

Let's all prepare - no matter how shit Manure have been this year, and they've been dogshit, this is their Champions League final ... they will be up for it 100% and will want to end our 100% start to the season ...

Couldn't agree more, they will be well up for this game. The only advantage their current turmoil gives us is if we score early; usually that would just mean we are winning but this weekend, if we score early, the mood of the crowd will sour quickly, the players heads will drop and we should coast to 3 points.
