The more I think about it, the more I'm not arsed if he goes.
Sure we've defended him to the hilt with the Ivanovic and Evra incidents but just look at how he is behaving now by publicly courting Madrid. . He obviously wants to leave and he's using the press as his scapegoat. I'd have more respect if he came out and just said Madrid are a better team than us and he wants to challenge for trophies. You can also take into account the diving, his handball in the World Cup

The sample size on the right is 75% smaller than the other! So how far would they regress? Its totally disingenuous to present those stats as reflective against the other side of the coin. Of course if they were the same sample size it would suggest he's been banned or injured even more so then my decision would be sell.
If the figures did regresss anywhere near the left hand side, we'd only be surviving. That's not good enough for this club. I say it again, he's one of the best players in the world. He could very much be our Cantona. We haven't managed him well but he does keep producing for us, and the leaving of Suarez will not do anything to help us get back where we want to be. Players like him at the club show our footballing ambition.

It's not disingenuous at all, it's the only basis upon which to start considering it. If the figures did regress we'd be exactly where we are now. Making the point that he's not that important to us.
If they didn't regress as much - we're better off without him. But I think that's actually too crazy a concept for some people to get their heads around. 20 goals = great automatically, without considering what it takes for him to get there.
