Madrid get Real over Suarez swoop

Yeah, to be fair I've seen far worse things posted on here and on KT relative to what Luis did.

And that's before you even account for any cultural misunderstandings and whatnot

It's not that I'm really interested in, it's comments like this :

I totally disagree regarding the T-shirts. I don't think they'll make a blind bit of difference on the PR front, but frankly I don't care either way. If we want to keep Luis at the club it's absolutely vital that we publicly stand beside him now, whatever the short-term cost.

Mind you, Redstar was quite prescient:

The issue with the Tshirts is not that the club is showing solidarity with Suarez, they have backed him unequivically from the start so that is not an issue, the issue is that they seem to be trying to portray Luis as the victim despite the fact hes been found guilty of using racial insults against another professional, that will not wash with most people and it makes the club look laughably out of step with society, as if being banned from a couple of games of football is a sentence worthy of martyrdom

The least shocking transfer in the history of transfers. It is about time that some of you grow up and realize that for most football players it is just a job. A fantastic, glamorous, incredibly well-paid job, but still just a job. And part of the job is saying stuff like "the fans are amazing!". Suarez leaving Liverpool for Real Madrid is no more shocking than a talented programmer leaving MySpace for Google.

He has been a great employee and if he leaves we better be well compensated.

@TonyEvansTimes: A year ago today, most of you would have gone to way for Torres. Month or so later he was 'ladyboy.' in 2 years Suarez will prob be gone”
“@TonyEvansTimes: But the stain on integrity of club will take much longer to go.”

I think you're misinterpreting what people feel, everyone knows that, we don't need to be taught to suck eggs, it's the passion that goes with the support and the disappointment of losing a top player, particularly one you've backed so strongly. Of course people are going to be disappointed, so don't tell us to "grow up", we understand the situation and the nature of business, we just don't like it when it bites us on the arse.

Some people can be right condescending gobshites.

I guess we're stupid for jumping up and down on the terraces when we score a goal, coz yer know, it's the nature of the game and not exactly unexpected, so why the sudden show of passion and childishness? Duh.

Not at all.

I support the team, but your crusade on him is pathetic. We will survive without him but I believe we're a better team with him in it. Oh and if you cant do better insults than that? At least I called you a cunt.

My crusade against him! Ha that's a bit rich, the person doing the most to get Suarez out the door is Suarez himself.

I don't like him and I won't be sorry to see him go, not sure why that offends you on such a personal level but so be it, my position on him hasn't changed so I don't see how that makes me weasily, I've been open and consistent in my belief that he's more trouble then he's worth.

Rumored weekly wage in Madrid.

£130,000

That is A LOT of money. Every week.

If Suarez wants to go then fuck him. He has caused this club so many troubles and should be so grateful to give us two more seasons at least.

He's probably on about 100-110 nowadays ... so it's not that much, it's the taxes, weather and beautiful Spanish women that swing it.

Didn't think he was anywhere near that to be honest.. point taken then.. it's prob not about money then. Though they'll probably keep him warm too.

We tripled his wages at the start of the season. If he's not on 130k already, he's not far off it.

I am disappointed too. But I am not delusional.
