Luis Suarez pwned by the Lizards and is Staying, and has said sorry to BR and teammates

It's their job to support the players.

Yes, like he did with Suarez twice in the past, I guess. What kind of process does it take for a PFA chairman to be appointed? Did this dwarf dunce pull a sword out of a rock or something? Is there a Stupid Test they take? First Taylor, and then his protege Clark Carlisle. What a joke.

Not that it ever bothered me much, but I'm way past caring what anybody outside the club - especially that cheesy little blowhard Gordon Taylor - thinks about this.

Don't you get it? The window closes in a few weeks ... IT IS a Carroll situation if we sell now. That's why if we sell now, we're fucking ourselves the same we fucked ourselves last sumer when we went into the season with only Suarez up front really.

Keep Suarez unless someone bids 50+ ... If he doesn't want to play, fine him, ban him from using our training facilities, and let him train with the u12s.

Er..... Yes I get it. It's not quite AC situation YET. But seriously what good is it doing fining, banning in the long run? Lets just get rid.

I've just said, it you think it doesn't you're being a bit naive, of course the media have an influence, ask Suarez.
Not this far into the game they don't. This is the stage when clubs, player and agent have decided where they stand and what would change their mind .. the press have no part in it now. Do Americans even read the British press ? Bet they don't.

Taylor has no option. What else could he do ? He's still a whopping cunt mind.

Of course he's got an option, he's under no obligation to back Suarez, what he should be saying is that they will do what they can to bring clarity to the situation, the club have a right to a defense from the FA (which the PFA are part of) as much as the player, he's saying this without seeing the evidence - "We will support Suarez". Really? Fuck off.

We either do this the right way, or we accept this will be how players use Liverpool ... stepping stone, and then dick us over until we move them to the bigger club. TOrres ... Mascherano ... Suarez ... Coutinho ... Ibe? Sterling?

So it's better to keep him ... glad everyone is finally figuring out that unless Madrid come in (or Monaco/PSG etc), he's staying.

If he goes to Arsenal, I wonder if they'll win the league? Nah, they'll finish 5th ... Poor Luis.

No, our fans need to stop being part of problem.

Taylor is not the FA ... he's the player's union rep and since there is no Evra or Ivanovic to defend then he's going to go with the only union member he has !

Your being naive (just as he is) if you think public opinion is going to suddenly shift towards a spoilt brat millionaire who has spent the last 2 years as the most reviled footballer in the country. When footballers complain the man in the street says 'you greedy bastard Id do your job for free', when Suarez complains the man in the street will say 'good, I hope that cunt gets everything thats coming to him'

Some Liverpool fans seem to be living in an echo chamber, most football fans I know despise him

I don't mean public perception (though it is influenced by the media), I mean the media will try to put pressure on the club with stories about us holding him to ransom, cf the first murmurings from Taylor. So it's a coincidence that Suarez makes these comments yesterday, and suddenly he has the backing of the PFA? The media themselves may not hold sway, but the media is being used as a tool by the player to do as such, it's naive to suggest it can't be effective, when it so obviously fucking is.

I love how everyone gets so angry about the smallest thing. And it all then gets spun as a conspiracy (wait for it) against the club.

This is a club v player dispute. If the players union did anything other than back the player they'd be out of business.

Nah he's too old.

I've said it before if you want an experienced player I would look at Rickie Lambert. He is a boyhood red wouldn't cost a lot on fee/wages could certainly help Sturridge and his stats aren't bad either. Only using Premier League. He can't be seen as a direct replacement for Suarez but would help replace some of his goals tally.

I expect the club to go on a full PR attack about how Suarez has let the club down despite us supporting him through all his antics. We put the reputation of the club on the line for him and he hasn't shown any appreciation for it through his current actions. Let's fuck with him. We'll see what the court of public opinion then says.

Pity though, that Chinese dude we sacked would have been perfect for the job of going all commando on Suarez.

What has changed from say a month ago then ? Were the media / Arsenal / commentators / agents / Suarez not saying exactly the same thing ? The PFA have no option to become involved but that doesn't mean our legal position is weakened. It is naive to think that our lawyers have not gone through the contract with a tooth-comb before advising the club we are under no liability or obligation to sell.

This is why I believe FSG/Henry have issued the very recent statements they have. It actual means "pay us what we believe he's worth or we'll keep him". No amount of media coverage (and it's already been excessive) or legal threats are going to assuage FSG into selling unless they want to at this stage (or so it is my belief).

You are not part of the problem Ross ... Sorry mate, you're not and won't be. Neither is Mark or anyone else. At the end of the day, it's people who want what's best for the club ... and selling him to Arsenal, so they finish 4th next year ahead of us won't help us ... Or getting 40-50 million with a few days before the transfer deadline - considering our previous track record - isn't exactly what neither of us are keen on seeing happening.

Unless a team comes close to the valuation, Henry will be inclined to keep Suarez. That much is clear as daylight. Its simply 50M or bust for Suarez.

It's stupid to keep Suarez if he doesn't want to stay, we'd lose 20 mill by playing a sulky striker, it doesnt make any sense

So you'd rather give Arsenal an advantage for 4th place? That makes sense?

Do you really think Suarez would not play seriously considering the importance of this year for him professionally?

"At the moment the situation is on standby," Wenger toldAl Jazeera Sport. "I heard that [Suarez is considering legal action to force a move] but this is sometimes linked with things that you don't know as a potential buyer.

"That is the story between Suarez and Liverpool and I don't know what has been said, what has been promised and what has been written and that is only Suarez and Liverpool that can decide that.

"It's nothing to do with us. We have been told that the player wants to leave Liverpool and that's why we've acted."
