I honestly think less of people that don't love Luis Garcia. I imagine them after being on a rollercoaster and saying, well, yea, it was fun in places, but what about that huge part at the beginning with that noisy fucking chain and we were just climbing, we weren't even going that fast.
The first thing they always say, as everyone didn't know, is that he could be frustrating at times, and that he wasn't brilliant all the time. He was frustrating at times (though there's a lot of confirmation bias at work for players that are seen as frustrating) because he didn't disappear, and always tried to do things in a team almost completely bereft of creative spark at times.
Yea, unfortunately I'll have to concede that he was only gob smackingly brilliant sometimes. It was pretty selfish of him to reserve some of those brilliant moments for huge games on the way to winning the big one. I'd give it back myself, for the less than 6M we paid for him.
