Luis Suarez pwned by the Lizards and is Staying, and has said sorry to BR and teammates

Its time for the club to put the hammer down on Suarez and shut him up once and for all. They are perpetuating the situation by treating him with kids gloves. Take the hardline and show some fuckin' bottle.

Let him take us to the tribunal, I don't think he stands any chance of a favourable verdict. He is hardly a credible witness and has no integrity.

I accept Suarez's reasons for wanting to leave and sympathize on that front. We all knew that he was too good for us last season and that he'd want to go to a better club if we failed to finish in the top 4. I don't care that much about the whole ongoing saga - what matters is the end result. I think we probably did make some promises to him that we've gone back on. Good. Whatever yields the best result for us. And Suarez probably again has himself to blame because were it not for the biting incident we'd have probably received a bid that matches our valuation by now.

The choice is probably going to end up being keeping him or selling for around 40M. We're not going to get 50M plus.

So it's better to keep him ... glad everyone is finally figuring out that unless Madrid come in (or Monaco/PSG etc), he's staying.

If he goes to Arsenal, I wonder if they'll win the league? Nah, they'll finish 5th ... Poor Luis.
Gotta be honest I'm not liking the idea of him going to Arsenal, but if he does and they get a tough CL draw go out then we finish forth instead of them I'd die of laughter! I can dream.

Mate in work just made me laugh he read that statment from Luis and went to me "I thought Suarez would learn to keep his mouth shut by now" haha

I wish Suarez would fuck off or stay but not both and definitely not neither.

Dreambeliever, your opinion is misguided and therefore one must conclude that you are a moron.

Go Liverpool!

Has there been a more spectacular debut than this since our dear Krump joined the fray?

Yup ... I don't get why people are upset ... It sucks for us - our best player will leave (& Coutinho will follow next summer probably) and for a team trying to regain their place amongst the country's elite, it will set us back a few steps. Oh well ...

We've been waiting 20 years and hoping we can return to our glory years ... We can wait a wee bit longer.

We should just come out now and condemn him. Highlight again the backing he's had, play hard ball with Arsenal over their underhanded method of testing the clause and threaten legal action, put a price of £60m on his head and give it a deadline. That way we're not refusing to sell (against our"promises") and we're not getting fucked over on Suarez' terms. We should highlight Spurs' valuation of Bale as proportionate, in today's market and insist that he will only go for the price asked for.

Do we really need to say anything?

The club has already said all of that. Surely we'd just be repeating ourselves.

I would yes absolutely, Benteke is a beast so I'd love us to go for him! Eriksen also looks good and maybe Shaqiri if he's available.

Everyone would forget about Suarez instantly if we managed to replace him with those three.

I'd even sell him to United at this stage. I don't care a single tone about him anymore and he will soon learn that karma can be a right bitch.

No, we've said we're not prepared to sell, surely that's changed, no?

I don't think so. I think everyone probably knows that we've been willing to sell all summer and simply want to get a bid that matches what we feel he's worth.

But the PR viewpoint will shift in his favour as we will be 'seen' to be doing what he's accusing us of doing, not letting him go.

Gordon Taylor has confirmed (on talkshite) that the PFA will support Suarez in his contact dispute.

Well done you useless cunt.

HA HA

So what are odds the upcoming season will be Coutinho's last here?

Why would you stay?

Play nice footy? Yah
Play for a team that think it's good but will struggle to just get into the Europa League every year? Yah
Brazilian mates? He's not really Brazilian

Yes, we need to tell Suarez in no uncertain terms to shut it. Every time he talks to the media, fine him. He knows that should a bid come in that meets our valuation, we will sell him. His constant outbursts are designed to make us want to cut our losses and sell him at 40M+1.

Fuck 'em

So many of our fans are saying that 'just get rid of the cunt, take the 40m'.

So he's acted like a cunt. And what? If your kid wants chocolate & you say no, you don't give it to him cos he starts acting like a cunt, you tell him he's not getting chocolate for the next week cos he acted like a cunt.

FFF don't think you can draw parallels with Suarez v kid. Ultimately we are a business and if we can reinvest money from a player who no longer wants to be here, then great. As we all know, in the current era, if a player wants out, he'll get out one way of another. We can't let it drag on with no time to find replacement. We dont want a other Carroll situation. We all know this is the reality.

Does it matter?

Perhaps I'm being naive but it doesn't seem like that big of a deal. It is to us of course and yeah, it's one of the big stories of the summer, but then both Spurs and Utd are going through it to varying degrees as well. It's just part of the game.

Don't you get it? The window closes in a few weeks ... IT IS a Carroll situation if we sell now. That's why if we sell now, we're fucking ourselves the same we fucked ourselves last sumer when we went into the season with only Suarez up front really.

Keep Suarez unless someone bids 50+ ... If he doesn't want to play, fine him, ban him from using our training facilities, and let him train with the u12s.

Of course it does, look at Taylor's comment, do you not think there's a shift already? We all know it's bollocks, but public perception and fuel for a good story shifts focus one way, then another. For all of Suarez complaints about the British media, they're as fickle as the next cunt, they could just as easily run with "Suarez the contractual victim".
