Luis Suarez pwned by the Lizards and is Staying, and has said sorry to BR and teammates

So what would you do if you were Arsene Wenger?

Sit this out or up your bid to £42-43M?

I think he's more naive than stupid personally.

That too.

For what it's worth, my post wasn't meant to be taken that seriously. Thought that much was obvious but forgot for a moment there, that there's a lawyer present.

What do people make of him claiming he has the backing of the PFA? If he has, could this cause us trouble?

I think wenger was given the 'clause' details by suarez agent in order to create this shit so Madrid come in & stand a better chance of getting him.

I also think he's still a tight cunt & the fact he's bid just £1 more than the clause means we should take the fuckers to the cleaners for tapping him up illegally the way we were for conveniently doing that ziege years back.

The players union backing a player ?

That's what they're supposed to do, otherwise they wouldn't have members. Not significant

That would turn out as embarrassing as the Rafa / Heinze action.

All Arsenal have to do is point to the 457,329 stories quoting the clause for a month before they bid

Well, you guys did push this thread to 100 pages. You knew what would happen and here we are!

Suarez is a puppet and you all have been the puppet masters.

I'd sell him, but only for £50 + million and only to a foreign club. I think the argument that we could spend £40 million or whatever on world class players if we sold him quickly is a misnomer - I think we're struggling to attract players who are good enough as it is. I'd much rather wait to spend that money when we're in the champions league as we'll be in a much better position to sign those players.

If we can bring in Costa, Papadopolous and a left back, we'd have a decent shot of being able to construct a team who could play well enough without Suarez in it. I know that's possibly a little far fetched but I'm buoyed by the impact that Aspas has had in pre-season as well as the continued form of Coutinho.

Maybe she was fit way back when.....

That was divorce was invented for, getting shut of wives that couldn't stop eating. At least I think that's henry the eighth did it for.

Tbf though, that lass isn't even the type who looks like she'd be pretty if she weren't the size of a small car.

It doesn't matter if she was fit aeons ago. Women know looks are very important to us so it follows the ones that let themselves go have an arrogant indifference to pleasing men.

I'm glad the club are handling this and not some of the posters on this forum.Talk about dissembling. Please stop talking about this on moral grounds, it's business.

The fact is that a contract exists. I don't know what's in the contract but I do know it can be tested if there is a dispute.

Luis Suarez obviously disputes it and can seek legal recourse if he has the conviction. I'm sure the PFA (if he has consulted them) will advise him accordingly.

Arsenal Football Club can be ignored as their bids have been rejected and they've not sought to re-enter the bidding process. In any case I think I'm right in saying that we don't have to sell to anyone, we can choose who we do business with.

If I were advising the club I'd congratulate them on their handling to date but would now ask them to field all press conference questions by saying it was an internal matter and that in future there would only be official statements.

Personally I think it's riskier to sell to a direct rival than to keep Suarez and let the storm subside.

Papers say a lot of things that aren't true though. To base your transfer policy & amount you bid on a player down to one single pound when you're talking about millions is more than a tad unbelievable.

Rodgers even got threatened with legal action last year because he made some vague comment about Dempsey. It's crazy that we seem to get blasted for the slightest thing but Redknapp, Wenger, Maureen and co get away with murder.

Fulham were angered that Rodgers went public about his admiration of Dempsey, who has a year left on his contract, before any formal approach had been made.

Rodgers said last month: ‘Clint is a player we’ve enquired about. Ian Ayre, our managing director, has spoken with the club to see what the position is. He’s a very talented player but we don’t like to talk about other clubs’ players.’

Under Rule T1.2 of the Premier League, players should not be approached without ‘the prior written consent of the club’ to which they are contracted.

Rule T8 says: ‘A statement made publicly by or on behalf of a club expressing interest in acquiring the registration of a contract player . . . shall be treated as an indirect approach.’

Fulham’s complaint was placed before the August meeting of the Premier League board and Liverpool have been asked for their observations. The board will decide whether to take the complaint further. It could eventually go before an independent panel, who could impose fines or even suspended point sanctions on the Merseyside club.

I loved Garcia but he was nowhere near as good as Ryan would have anyone believe.

And being creative on the edge of your box and lossing the ball time and time again is very different that in the final 3rd.

I've read that last sentence a few times now but I'm still at a loss.

I'd be more worried about us selling Luis had I not seen our form towards the end of last season WITHOUT him, so just sell the cunt now Brendan! But please please please not to the gooner shite! Citeh and Chelsea yes but not them! Come on Monaco and PSG make a bid ffs.

The only disappointing thing in all of this is that now we know we'll have to sell the unhappy little cunt so may get less than the 50/55M we want, it'll drag on for weeks and we'll have fuck all time to buy decent replacements.

Exactly. Just get rid even if it's to arsenal. He'll fuck them over within 2 years, more racist slur, biting, kicking. When they don't get in champs league this season due to them missing his goals through as he is suspended again, he'll be calling for Madrid before you know it. What a horrible little parasite. Doesn't deserve to wear the shirt.
