Luis Suarez pwned by the Lizards and is Staying, and has said sorry to BR and teammates

Just like Suarez should have sued Evra.

When will people cop on that tit for tat is the stupidest fucking way to approach any situation.

Eyes on the prize Hansern - what do we want, how do we leverage our situation to get it. Nothing else matters

Yep totally agree on that. Stop seeking revenge and maximise our position.

We are normally fucked over when the FA "look" into our cases. The only one with a worse track record with the authorities must be Suarez himself? Very interesting to see were this one goes....

This has been done to death, Bales value has no bearing on Suarez, they are two independent deals. Why not compare his value to Higuain, or Rooney, or any other player, what has it got to do with Bale specifically?

Nothing. I'm just pointing out the fact that everyone is happy to get rid of him for 50 million when we could get so much more. Bale was the obvious choice.

I remember Rafa used to get criticisms from some segments of the press and the fans for treating players like chess pieces. It appears he was far ahead of the curve in terms of understanding player mentality - ungrateful, rich , spoilt men who deserve to be used and thrown at the clubs discretion.

The thing is, as much as we may value him at £50M+, that means fuck all when no-one appears to covet enough to bid in that region.

Bale is desired by Real to the extent that they are (seemingly) willing to create a new world transfer record in order to get him.

There have been a couple of huge transfers already this summer (Falcao, Cavani) how come only Arsenal have actively moved for Suarez ?
His ability is indisputable.
Why has he been pretty much ignored ?

Except at times you need to pamper to the spoilt brats cos they have something you need much of the time.

It's about balancing the two & knowing when to pander to them & when to treat them so harshly.

Rafa didn't alway get it wrong, but he didn't always get it right either.

I just think if Arsenal want him badly enough, they'll cough up the dough. If they don't we should prolong his misery for another half season at least.

Except he did for his own gain at the clubs expense

The fact he's behaving like this whilst on a ban for trying to rip someones arm off with his teeth is indicative what sort of a human being he is.
An absolute fucking scumbag with zero morals or regard for anything bar himself.
Really hope the next time he's seen at Anfield is on a stretcher with his leg dangling off from the knee down whilst Wenger is crying to the officials.

Not sure I agree with you there 100% but do not want to turn this into a Rafa is right / wrong debate.

Hopefully the club will not be focused on the PR implications of this fallout and take decisions on how best to improve the team out of this situation. We seem to have become less sentimental and more ruthless given the way we have handled the Reina situation which I think will serve us well. Whether Suarez stays or leaves and irrespective of how it is perceived right now the real winners/losers of this situation will not be known till quite possibly the end of the season. Invest the money well and we will come out looking winners in the long term irrespective of whether we sell him at 38, 40.1, 43 million.

Just read in this week's Private Eye that the 'Spurs in for Suarez' newspaper reports were prompted by Spurs fans pissed off with the Bale stories creating fake 'leaks'. Flipping internet terrorists!

I'm not defending him but fuck me, trying to rip someones arm off with his teeth? Fuck off. That's as hysterical as the excuses this cunt is now bleating to the press about. Dont sink to his level.

I can't help it.
Never have I witnessed such a lack of respect towards a club in my life.
He's a degenerate who doesn't deserve any support.
I exaggerated because I now despise the prick and always will.

Thommo :

Earlier this summer, Suarez cited press intrusion as one of his reasons for wanting to quit Anfield and Thompson says he would understand if he moved overseas.
He had been linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid, but their new manager Carlo Ancelotti appears to have prioritised the rumoured £85 million signing of Tottenham's Gareth Bale.
And given the state of the transfer market, Thompson says he would not be happy to see Suarez join Real or Arsenal for less than £55m.
"Liverpool have handled it very well and the big thing is to stay calm over this," Thompson told Sky Sports News.
"They have Luis Suarez for another three years of his contract and they don't need to transfer him. He might throw his dummy out and he might be really upset, but [they shouldn't sell] until they get a price that he's worth.
"It's different when you've got £85million being offered for Gareth Bale. I'm quite sure if they want to go anywhere near that for Luis Suarez I think a deal could be done.
"Is he half the player of Gareth Bale? The club have played it right, but do you want to risk having an unhappy player around the place? We had it with Fernando Torres and is it going to be the same with Luis Suarez?
"I hope Liverpool stick to their guns. Pardon me, but £40m is not the worth of Luis Suarez and if it's Arsenal or anybody else it should be £50m to £55m.
"His good mate Edinson Cavani went for £55m and Suarez is better than him."

It's World Cup year. If a player wants to sulk and lose form and not play, that's up to how stupid he wants to be. We hold all the cards.

excellent point ... though i think it's cold and wrong at times, i'd rather be in control than have the pieces of chess control the club.

So many of our fans are saying that 'just get rid of the cunt, take the 40m'.

So he's acted like a cunt. And what? If your kid wants chocolate & you say no, you don't give it to him cos he starts acting like a cunt, you tell him he's not getting chocolate for the next week cos he acted like a cunt.

And don't forget all the other kids who qill kick up a fuss to get what they want. And then you are screwed.

I don't think is. I think the problem is viewing players as anything other than normal employees, which is all they are. They don't owe clubs any more loyalty than you do the company you work at and vice-versa.

It's not quite like other businesses. The club has told several players recently to bugger off and they've happily carried on as they are, George Costanza-like, sitting in the stands and taking their wages. In those cases, suddenly, players seem to realise that contracts are things that are worth respecting.

The problem for Suarez above all is that the facts are against him. He says that he should be playing in the CL yet I've never known so many CL clubs (or soon-to-be CL clubs) spending big money as this summer, and only the dregs of that group, Arsenal, have shown any interest. There must be 10 credible clubs who could've afforded him but have looked elsewhere.

On that basis he isn't a CL player.

This is getting ridiculous and like i said , if he manages to force a move because of this "clause" then heads should roll. And i mean Ayre and anyone else involved in this shite . It's embarrassing .
And if he stays then Ayre and the management should be given a bonus? It works both ways. The club has done everything right so far, lets see how the situation pans out before slamming people, yes?

Hes good enough to play for a club in the CL, the fact that most of them dont want anything to do with him tells its own story, in retrospect its not such a mystery how we were able to sign him in the first place, I suspect many clubs had seen his antics in Holland and decided he wasnt worth the hassle, since then his behaviour has only deteriorated. Fortunately for us his price hasnt

I agree, I've said it before.

That's because his ability hasn't either. Cnut as he may be, Suarez is a brilliant footballer and there'll always be some kind of market for that sort of quality. Our job now is to play that market to LFC's best advantage.

I find it all quite amusing really. Mainly because I've come to realise I like cricket more than footy *backs slowly out of thread*

I'm starting to get fed up with all the shite that is attached to footy now.

I imagine it's a bit like a pig farmer who has a favourite sow that he likes to shag then one morning he realises that she's covered in shit. All the while there's been a brothel done the road with relatively clean girls who would work for bacon and pork chops.

I don't know where I'm going with this.
