Luis Suarez pwned by the Lizards and is Staying, and has said sorry to BR and teammates

Here’s a corker of a photo that’s doing the rounds today. After coming to the end of his tether with Luis Suarez’s carrying on this summer, this jilted Liverpool fan took matters into his own hands and did a DIY job on his “Suarez No.7″ shirt – seamlessly altering it to a “Coutinho No.10″ jersey with just a few swatches of duct tape and all the skill and precision of a Swiss watchmaker…

It's faultless!

Leadership, that's what this finally feels like. Now, does anyone else feel this season is ON, like this whole episode has worked in our favor and we're determined to get ahead of Arsenal,, Spurs, Chelsea, City and other wannabes?. Determined to make our way back to the top? I feel like the whole incident has given us motivation, a spine, and a competitive desire to get back up there. Hopefully the players feel the same. Hey Luis, you just got put in your place.
I want us to get into the top 3, fight for the title and have Suarez be a big part of it all. Then fuck him off to any foreign club willing to offer 40m and 99p. Hopefully Russian.

Avvy looks different.

I'm not sure why this lugubrious dwarf is chipping in, but hey ho:

Professional Footballers’ Association chief executive Gordon Taylor believes is it highly unlikely that Luis Suarez will move from Liverpool to Arsenal this summer.

The Gunners are desperate to land Suarez, and the Uruguayan went public with his desire to exit Anfield in an interview with national newspapers this week.

Suarez accused Liverpool of breaking promises by rejecting a £40million offer from Arsenal, but the PFA concluded that there was no buy-out clause in his contract.

Liverpool insist Suarez will not be sold, and Taylor expects the 26-year-old to remain at Anfield this transfer window, saying they would be unable to replace him.

“With the transfer window expiring, the difficulties of not only selling him to a competitor but also replacing him makes it practically impossible,” Taylor told the BBC.

He added: “I think it really muddies the waters to have buy-out clauses that are supposed to be confidential between employer and employee.

“Inevitably that gets out. The drafting of such clauses are far from straight forward.

“These are issues we are going to have to raise with the Premier League at our regular discussions.”

It's smarter than it looks. Unlike the idiots that burnt Gerrards shirt, this chap can reverse the process when Suarez becomes a hero again.

He has to waddle into "action" every now and then to try and justify his enormous salary. Is he still the highest-paid trade union leader?

I disagree. We'll keep him now and sell him either in January or next summer unquestionably. It will give us time to identify replacements and will assist our aspirations for Champions League football.

I still think Madrid might show their hand quite land, especially now Perez is suggesting the Bale fee is too high.

Why is everyone claiming that the transferwindow is about to close? Didn't it just open? When Arry is buying players through his car window it is about to close!!

Luis Suárez bides his time in face of Liverpool's hard line
• Striker had intended to lodge transfer request this week
• Uruguayan will not apologise over alleged 'disrespect'

Sid Lowe
The Guardian, Friday 9 August 2013 20.25 BST

Luis Suárez will not hand in a transfer request yet in the wake of Liverpool's hard-line stance over his future. The Uruguayan striker had originally planned to do so before the end of this week if the Anfield club did not allow him to move to Arsenal. But Suárez's camp believe his position was made sufficiently clear in an interview with The Guardian and that there is no need to make a formal transfer request at the moment.

Liverpool's owner, John W Henry, angrily insisted after the interview that Suárez would not be leaving Liverpool to join any club, at any fee, despite the striker insisting he wanted to depart in order to play Champions League football. Brendan Rodgers, the manager, accused Suárez of disrespecting the club and lying. Rodgers has forced Suárez to train with the youth team until he makes an apology, although how much impact that has is open to question as Suárez is injured, about to depart on international duty and has six games of his ban to serve.

Suárez has no intention of apologising. He made it clear in the interview that he believes that the club and manager have broken a promise; the coach's latest remarks can only have added to that sensation. In his opinion, it is Rodgers who has lied and reneged on a deal.

If the club's American owner sticks to his word, he risks missing out on a substantial transfer fee and having an unhappy player in the squad. But if Suárez is ultimately forced to stay, he will not refuse to play. Right now, he believes that there is little more than he can, or should, do: he has made his position clear and Henry's public insistence that he will not sell makes a formal request pointless.

Any potential transfer now depends on the clubs, not the player. Suárez's decision to speak out was motivated less by strategy than by frustration.

Suárez's camp believe that a clause in his contract allows him to depart for any bid over £40m and Arsenal acted to trigger than clause by offering £40,000,0001. That is the only offer Liverpool have received and no other major club has expressed a serious interest in the striker. Liverpool dispute that the clause allows Suárez to leave for that fee and contend it merely opens negotiations.

The PFA president, Gordon Taylor, admitted the clause in Suarez's contract is not watertight. He also admitted there was a "good faith" clause but that it too was not legally binding. The very existence of a clause shows that Liverpool and Suárez had discussed a possible departure in the event of the club not making it into the Champions League. The dispute is over the size of the transfer fee. Suárez made his position clear to Liverpool; he has now made his position clear publicly too.

The 26-year-old was not included in the Liverpool squad that flew to Dublin on Friday for the club's final pre-season friendly against Celtic. He missed the win over Valerenga in Oslo in midweek with a slight foot injury suffered during Steven Gerrard's testimonial but was unlikely to appear in Dublin anyway as Rodgers prepares for next weekend's Premier League opener against Stoke City.

His ban will prove useful over the first few matches of the season. If he wasn't banned, there would be huge media speculation on whether Rodgers would start Suarez or not. Now there's no question to answer. It will also give him time to figure his head out and come to terms with staying at the club for another year of his life.

Funny how he will do everything but hand in a transfer request. Anyone would think it might forfeit a loyalty bonus.

We should keep him til jan when he'll be the hottest option around for champs league teams looking for that bit extra,

Oh great, so now moaning to the Guardian is an alternative to putting in a transfer request. Ludicrous.

No amount of moaning, public outbursts or interviews will change the clubs stance on the Suarez saga. Henry has spoken, bow down b1tches! You'll got pwned!
