Luis Suarez pwned by the Lizards and is Staying, and has said sorry to BR and teammates

Heh, I think some of you are taking this a bit far. You'll be outside Anfield burning Luis Suarez shirts next.

"Despicable human being", anyone would think he's killed someone.

You know I've been with you on the "we need to be more cuntish a la United" bandwagon for a while Ken.

I guess with this one there's a limit though, and he crossed it some time ago, and then some. He has absolutely no respect for the club or the fans, to the point that he's prepared to do just about anything to get away from us. How can anyone happily ignore and accept that because "he's a footballer, and scores goals". That's a copout as far as I'm concerned.

I don't know. I might care more if we were fighting for the title and actually had options. As things stand we don't and perhaps it's just a case of having to get ourselves dirty to get back where we wanna be.

I've lost all respect for the man and think he's an utter cunt. But the team comes first. I won't ever boo him as that affects the whole team. I'll be happy when he scores but not happy for him, just happy that Liverpool have scored. If him staying helps the team then I'll support the teams decision. But yeah he's a cunt, but like Barnes said it's not about the player but the team.

The argument that we should support the club rather than the player is always a good one.

Well, if he stays I will support the clubs decision as it will have been taken for the greater good of the club. If Suarez scores, then I will cheer it like any other goal for MY club.

Yes Suarez has acted the cunt and I'm not going to defend him, but so has every person in the world - well maybe not Mother
Theresa!

If he's playing for Liverpool next year then we have made a decisive step to reign in some of these overpaid cunts, and if he plays for Liverpool he improves us.

I know people hate him - and I cannot say enough how that's a totally valid feeling and 99.01% of fans will be that way until he starts banging in goals (and then we'll forget b/c we're fickle fucks) ...

But can we not wish cancer upon him? That's aRdja territory.

As John Barnes said , this is all your fault anyway

This "it's the fans fault" thing is bollocks really. It's not like adoration is a new thing, superstar wages, media exposure and a Hollywood lifestyle are. "It's all your fault", don't make me laugh.

He's got a short memory, given under Evans they were spending weekends in hotels fucking takeout girls and splashing the cash on fancy cars and twatish clothes, I suppose that was the fans fault too. I suppose the shit suits and the "we've already made it" attitude at the FA Cup Final was our fault aswell, all that adoration and support must have gone to their heads.

It's the nature of the game to support your players, it's upto them what type of person they become, how much loyalty they show and how good a role model they are.

Barnes was just trying to say something different clever. And failed fairly miserably.

I always thought that was down to bad management and coaching. Roy was a soft touch... players played on it... Who knows, if they where managed and coached to today's standards or even to what GH brought in... We may of very well achieved success under the Evans era...

Understand #afc did not make offer for Higuain. Agreed personal terms but put deal on hold to prioritise Suarez, Napoli pounced #bbcfootball

What makes this even sweeter is that Higuain would have preferred to join the Arse. :vamp:

I've got to say some of his comments while in Uraguy had me thinking he needs to go. Then there were some pandering comments when he returned that made me wonder. His interview with the Guardian though - and the timing of it - had me convinced that he's got to leave. He'd give it all on the field cause he's unable to play any other way but the rest of the team could not possibly support him and fight with him after what he's said.

Having said that, I don't know that he's got no respect for the club. I think he just lives in a bubble and somehow doesn't comprehend the ripple effect his comments make. Remember his comments after the affair with Evra? His naivety was astonishing - he just couldn't understand the concept that what he'd said was going to cause trouble and, even more astonishing, he couldn't understand how defending the comments in the media wasn't going to go down well.

I would bet my life savings that, in his head, he believes 100% that he'll fight for the shirt, that he's respectful of Liverpool and that he loves the fans. He just has no comprehension of how his words impact on everyone elses perception of him.

By the way, this isn't a defense of him; his timing for that interview was gutless and a betrayal in the extreme. I just don't think he comprehends that perception because he's so consumed with what he thinks is the truth.

...to the extent that he's thinking at all, because my bet is he's being led by the nose by his agent.

Of course it's his agent.

Can you imagine Suarez picking up the phone and calling the Guardian?
He's an idiot. Also, if he really wanted to fuck us over, he would have called the S*n.

For some strange, unknown reason, this thread brought me back to a scene in the late 18th century at the House of Commons, where a lone, young William Wilberforce is arguing his stand on abolishing the slave trade to the deafening roars of disapproval and mockery of the fat, corrupted PMs.

They say without the income from the slave trade, the British Empire wouldn't be where it would be and the king's coffers would be empty, especially in financing the war, etc.

But silly Billy argues that war or no war, business or no business, the slave trade is not ethical and is not what humanity is about. He says there is a way to do things, to achieve success and abusing & mistreating 'negros' is NOT the right way.

Perez said none of the Real players wanted to move to Spurs as a part of the Bale negotiations.
Would anyone of them move to us? Doubtful.

I wonder if that has anything to do with Modric. He didn't leave Spurs on the best terms, did he?

Its all about personal accountability.

So many people in this world are not prepared to take the consquences of their own actions, and simply prefer to find a reason to try and excuse their actions.

We all have a choice in the actions we take.

disagree with the analogy but appreciate the thought and effort put into this post.

the key determiner of respect for the club is arguably the effort a player puts in on the pitch - in this regard he is faultless.

admittedly his remarks off the pitch have serious cause for concern, but to dismiss his efforts on the pitch completely is wrong.

If...and i mean if he stays i should imagine he will put the effort in. Football fans are by and large a fickle bunch and i reckon 80 percent would still support him if he is doing the business and banging the goals in.

Fucking hell, calm down ffs.

I think Suarez is a scumbag too, but I'd just prefer us not to cut off our nose to spite our face. I honestly don't see why we should let him goad us into acting emotionally and getting him out the door no matter the cost.

We should do what's best for us, and if that's making him stay and play then that's fine by me.

We should club together and get Luis one of these extra-special mate cups, inscribed with something suitable like 'Nobby No Mate' to commemorate this memorable summer.

Suarez in the end will not leave Liverpool Football Club.
I always have heard: "If an athlete wishes to leave itself, if the club would not let him leave, they will put athletes frozen."
Been hearing this argument, and my heart is really uncomfortable. I believe that Liverpool Football Club, also believe Suarez. Will eventually be successful.

I love the hidden advertising... from china too.. we have had a few of them lately, advertising the same site too..

Who was it the other day asking for this ?

The more I look at it the more we should be grateful to that cunt Pere Guardiola. He's basically completely fucked over Arsenal's summer shopping window. They were banking on Suarez, and with a few weeks left, they'll either overpay for dross or stay pat. With a very similar team to last year, a main rival hasn't got stronger. Now if only Bale leaves Spurs, another rival weakens too.

Christian Purslow told Sky Sports News: "What's unusual about this case is there seems to be some significant confusion between the player and the club as to whether he did or didn't have such an escape clause.

"Yesterday it became clear that he did not have a clause, so I suspect he's pretty unhappy with his agent who got that wrong a year ago.

"I also suspect Arsenal are unhappy because they're a club who do their business extremely properly and professionally and they will have been made aware by intermediaries acting for the player that he thought such a clause existed.

"They will have done the right thing which is make a written offer to Liverpool.

"They may have spent a lot of time thinking that if they were to make an offer at that level they would be securing a player. This is not something one does on a whim.

"I suspect Arsene Wenger and Arsenal have been planning Luis Suarez as their main signing for some time and to discover that such a clause is not valid and doesn't work runs the risk of seriously wasting Arsenal's time as well."

Yeah. If I could be arsed I suspect there is a fair bit of panicking going on in Arsenal forums right now....

Hopefully Arsenal will do an Andy Carroll-esque panic buy towards the end of the window and spend a fortune on a pile of shit 🙂
