Luis Suarez pwned by the Lizards and is Staying, and has said sorry to BR and teammates

You don't care how he treats the club as long as he scores goals?

I do. I want him gone. Whilst I'm glad our owners are displaying a resolute front when it comes to other teams poaching our players, I want that utter cunt gone.

No doubt.

Why are some people happy to support utter fucking cunts? Without wanting to get all atruistic about it, don't we have some sort of standards? Some sort of values that negate us from having to live with a completely horrible cunt just because he can score goals.

I'd prefer not to have to watch complete fuckers play for my team I guess.

we're already watching cocksweats like d.studge getting paid 60 grand a week to roll around in fancy cars and suits like he isn't a cocksweat.

John Barnes: 'Fans to blame for Luis Suarez situation'

Former Liverpool star John Barnes has said that modern football fans are to partly to blame for Luis Suarez's feud with the club.

The ex-England midfielder believes supporters have empowered players too much over the years, making them feel that they are bigger than their club.

"This is the future of modern football we have created. The media and especially the fans have empowered players too much to make them feel that a) they are better than their team-mates and b) they're better than their clubs," he told talkSPORT.

"We've seen it at Arsenal where so many players have left because Arsenal cannot match their ambitions, and the fans are the ones who have created this superstar culture whereby you've separated the team and the superstars to feel more important than the club.

"What has empowered him and the likes of [Fernando] Torres is they feel team is losing not because of them but because of their teammates."

Barnes went on to say that Suarez should share the blame for Liverpool's failure to qualify for the Champions League last season.

He added: "Suarez is saying he needs to go because they've not qualified for the Champions League, but he was part of the team that failed to do that. He has to take responsibility for that. He's saying, 'I've done my job, I'm good enough, but the players I'm playing with aren't'.

"Our superstar players feel they are untouchable. We've gone too far and there's no way back.

"The fans have a lot to answer for. Don't fall in love with players because they will leave given the right circumstances. Support the club, support the group and then, if any player wants to step out of line, we won't support him. Maybe then they won't get over-inflated egos and behave the way they do."

You bunch of cunts! It's your fault!

Eh...I never said I didn't care how he treats the club?

As of now, I want him out. But if that doesn't happen, I want him to help us to a top 4 finish. And as Modo said, if he does an Aguero, and wins us the league, I'll gladly say I'm happy he stayed. Actually, if he did that, I think I'd completely forgive him. The little cunt.

Suarez in the end will not leave Liverpool Football Club.
I always have heard: "If an athlete wishes to leave itself, if the club would not let him leave, they will put athletes frozen."
Been hearing this argument, and my heart is really uncomfortable. I believe that Liverpool Football Club, also believe Suarez. Will eventually be successful.

Funny how everything seems to swing on quotes that essentially reiterate the same thing, that we don't want to sell *wink*.

We'll see just how valuable the rhetoric is at the end of the silly season.

Also, where does this leave Arsenal? They're running out of time to reinforce their squad.

I hope they carry on pursuing Suarez to the end.
This is what I'm hoping for. In the Squad comparison thread I made you can see how weak they are in a number of positions. We have strengthened, Spurs have strengthened (but the lose of Bale will be a massive blow to them) and Arsenal are floundering in the transfer market. All's good.

Where is the squad comparison thread? I was looking at Arsenals squad the other day and was surprised at how shit it looks:

GOALKEEPERS
1 Wojciech Szczesny
21 Lukasz Fabianski

DEFENDERS
3 Bacary Sagna
4 Per Mertesacker
5 Thomas Vermaelen
6 Laurent Koscielny
17 Nacho Monreal
25 Carl Jenkinson
28 Kieran Gibbs

MIDFIELDERS
7 Tomas Rosicky
8 Mikel Arteta
10 Jack Wilshere
16 Aaron Ramsey
19 Santi Cazorla
24 Abou Diaby
26 Emmanuel Frimpong
31 Ryo Miyaichi

STRIKERS
9 Lukas Podolski
12 Olivier Giroud
14 Theo Walcott
15 Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
22 Yaya Sanogo
27 Gervinho
29 Marouane Chamakh
30 Ju-Young Park
52 Nicklas Bendtner

If they don't sign a few and still make the CL next season Wenger is a miracle worker.

Wenger is fucked. He has promised big signings this year but they can't get one. They are way short up front. Their place in top 4 is ours.

Was really enjoying these quotes from Henry until I found this...

Liverpool principal owner John W. Henryhas publicly responded to Luis Suarez's attempts to force a transfer by firmly stating that he will not be sold to Arsenal or any other club. This follows Manchester United's declaration that Wayne Rooney is not for sale and Spurs saying the same about Gareth Bale.

So that's it, then. No big moves because the boss men said so. Well, maybe not. Like the dreaded vote of confidence for a manager who then gets sacked, the "not for sale" announcement all too often comes right before a club ends up selling their star player. It's frequently more of a negotiation tactic and public relations move than an actual statement of fact. So with that in mind, here's a brief history of players who were not for sale being sold in recent years:

July 2012: Then Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood said, "We're not in the remotest bit interested in selling" Robin van Persie. The next day, Van Persie announced that he would not sign a contract extension with the club via his personal website. A month later he was sold to Manchester United for £24 million.

May 2012: Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri said told the club's TV channel "The club and the president are keen to maintain AC Milan at a high level. Ibrahimovic and Thiago [Silva] will remain here." In July, PSG signed both players in a package deal worth a total of €62 million.

January 2011: Liverpool posted a brief statement on their official website that said, "Chelsea have made a bid for Fernando which has been turned down," the spokesman said. "The player is not for sale." This followed new owner John Henry's October 2010 vow that "There is no way the club is interested in selling" Fernando Torres. Three days after saying he wasn't for sale, Torres was sold to Chelsea for a British record £50 million.

May 2010: Then Barcelona president Joan Laporta said that Zlatan Ibrahimovic was not for sale after his first season with the club, stating, "He is a very highly-valued player, and I know the coaches count on him. The signing of Villa does not affect the future of Ibra.'' At the end of August, he was loaned to Milan for the 2010/11 season with an option to purchase for €24 million at the end of the campaign. Which they did.

June 2009: Then Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez said that neither Xabi Alonso nor Javier Mascherano were for sale — a sentiment reinforced by the club. Alonso was sold to Real Madrid the following month for £30 million and Mascherano went to Barcelona a year later for £17.5 million.

March 2009: Milan vice president Adriano Galliani said, "Kaka is not for sale." Three days into the summer transfer window, he was sold to Real Madrid for £56 million.

December 2008: Amidst growing speculation about Cristiano Ronaldo, Then Manchester Unitedmanager Sir Alex Ferguson said of Real Madrid, "I wouldn't sell them a virus." In June, he sold them Ronaldo for a world record £80 million.

July 2008: Spurs claimed they "had no intention of selling" Dimitar Berbatov to Manchester United. Which they later did on a deadline day transaction worth £30 million.

This, of course, is just a sampling of this phenomenon. It doesn't mean that every time the words "not for sale" are uttered by a man in a suit, a player will disappear but it also doesn't mean they're definitely staying either.

I guess only time will tell

I guess only time will tell

I'm assuming there's no chance he'll go to Arsenal and every chance he'll go to Madrid if they stump up £50m, I think that's where we are.

To be fair to us though, at the time £30m for Xabi and £50m for Torres were pretty much offers we just could not refuse. For Suarez I reckon that 'too good to refuse' offer would be £60 m.

The Guardian coverage of this actually an interesting quote. Sorry if it's been posted - didn't see it in the last few pages:

Liverpool informed Suárez and Guardiola that any transfer would have to be agreed early in this transfer window to allow Rodgers time to spend the fee. "We made that clear early-on," confirmed Henry, who believes Suárez is misguided in his reasons for wishing to join Arsenal. He said: "Players usually want to win. They want to go, generally in any sport, where they can win. That's why I think this particular episode is misguided. We've won more trophies than Arsenal, but I really don't want to get into that."

I'd say there is every chance he could end up at RM this summer. Looks like they're miles apart with spurs on their valuation for Bale. If that drags I expect a late bid from RM.

Him leaving the country for a tidy sum would be the most ideal.

Or he could do a Tevez and help us win the league before going. I think I could live with that.

The latter is extremely unlikely though as Rodgers doesn't seem to take too kindly such antics from his players, thereby making Suarez's position in the club no longer tenable.

Reading in between the lines of Henry's interview, it seems plausible that the club would be open to a sale provided a player of sufficient quality is thrown in. Who would we want from RM?

No doubt.

We all would Ryan.... ALL of us.... shame is he is by far and away the very best player we have and correspondingly the best chance we have of stopping this fucking nightmare. I doubt very much Suarez is any different to any othe rplayer nowadays or indeed the vast majority of human beings on the planet.... Money corrupts and football is awash with it.

Is that Marca article a fake then?? fighting for the shirt?...

It is actually to late to sell and we just simply cant to Arsenal anyway... he needs to get his head straight and fucking grin and bare it and see if we can actually get in to the big show next time round...

Perhaps for Henry it would be best to make sure we fucking strengthen the side in the meantime with that in mind.

No doubt.

I work on the assumption they're all a bunch of cunts. But some of them cunts are dead good at footy, and some ain't

Liverpool FC v Suarez ..... Liverpool FC Wins

Btw The papers are still adamant arse are going bid £51 million for our man.

I know people hate him - and I cannot say enough how that's a totally valid feeling and 99.01% of fans will be that way until he starts banging in goals (and then we'll forget b/c we're fickle fucks) ...

But can we not wish cancer upon him? That's aRdja territory.

... to many posters, the fact he's one of the best players in the world is irrelevant ... Again, it's a valid position. We don't live in an age of football players where loyalty / respect etc are part of the equation for most footballers - the ones that have it are in general average to poor footballers. Suarez has been an absolute cock and it will probably take quite a few game winning performances to whittle away the hatred that he's accumulated by his own doing.

I guess most of us will forgive him once we win the league mind.

totally agreed, he is a despicable human being for the most part and I'd be happy to see him gone

Could this be the most incomprehensible first post ever? Anyway, welcome @rosenheim.
