Ludicrous Rumours

Tah is very much unproven. I wouldn't mind getting him, but it depends on what we want – if we want a player who will improve our starting CB pairing right away, then I'm afraid there is not much alternative to spending 50M for Van Dijk. I don't know another CB of the same class who is available and Premiership-proven (I know some people are going to scoff at that term, because of our past failures with players like Downing or Joe Cole, which has nothing to do with anything whatsoever. Simply put, defending in the EPL is, in fact, somewhat different from, say, Italy or Spain and it takes even the best players some time to adjust – Van Dijk has already made this adjustment). Someone like Tah would be a good purchase if we were happy with the 2 main CBs and wanted to add a talented young defender to gradually grow into the team and the league.
Gibson, Maguire, Keane. All cheaper alternatives. Heck even Alderwerield would be less.

I would place Alderwerield on the same level with Van Dijk, maybe even higher – however not sure though if the reports about his exit clause are trustworthy. Even if it were true, it would be very hard for us to "steal" a player from Spurs, who will surely place higher than us this season.

The other 3 are probably no better that Lovren, at least at this point. There is a reason why they are "cheaper alternatives."

Both then

I'd be ok with 50M on Van Dijk solely on the basis that it'd mean Andy Carroll wasn't our most expensive ever player anymore.
Andy Carroll being our most expensive ever player sums up perfectly why we haven't won the league in so long.

Just thinking about what we got to show for the Suarez and Sterling money... it's just Clyne, Lallana and Firmino. Maybe Can too but that's it, isn't it?

70mill on the Bameyang ahahhaha like he'd come here. If he was available all the FFP dodgers would be after him.

Aubameyang is not coming to LFC, as if. It's Caughtoffside FFS.

As for others I want to see more mature, proven, players. Nobody wins the PL with a team averaging 23 yrs old. PL winning teams ave. 27-28 yrs old and FSG keep focusing on developing kids 'for the future'. That particular future will never arrive.

4-5 mature players and maybe 2-3 of 23-24 yrs old this Summer, FGS.

Fenerbahce's central defender Simon Kjær, 28, on his way to Hull apparently as their manager Marco Silva has singled him out as a top target for The Tigers this Summer.

£8M is the rumored fee.

Are we interested in any current Hull defenders?

Mbappe's agent claims that only four teams in the world can realistically afford his client; Real Madrid, Barcelona, United and City (not sure if Chelsea aren't also capable).

Munich could as well.

Think they're just his preferred destinations

Is he already 28? Seem like not long ago he was a sought after teenager.... Is Hull his Level, or is the PL Payscheme that outperform everything else these days?

His top level is mid Prem I would say. Hull could be a decent move for him if they stay up of course.

Well ive never heard of the cunt so he can fuck off.

You obviously haven't seen him.

if ever a young player instantly looked like a future world's best striker it's this lad. Lightning fast, instantly looking the part at top Champions league level and finishing improving game on game.

He's the most lethal young player in the world by a mile.

Rashford is a league one player compared to him.

Dolberg disagree with that last sentence.

And you will soon enough too..

Liverpool could sign £5m Sandro as a cheaper alternative to Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette.

Alexandre Lacazette is among Europe’s hottest transfer topics this summer, with Arsenal and Liverpool among the number of clubs reported to be interested in the Lyon forward, but Liverpool would do well to target a talented alternative for a fraction of the cost.
Lyon's 25-year-old has 24 goals in his 27 league appearances this season and 31 across all competitions.

The Ligue 1 side look set to attempt to retain their star man at all costs, reports the Daily Mail, with club president Jean Michel-Aulas saying: “We're ready to go a bit crazy and do things we've never done to keep Alexandre Lacazette.
“The club is good; the club has invested in all the structures that will allow it to get back among Europe's top 10 clubs.”
If Lacazette does leave Lyon, he is sure to fetch a high price and Liverpool may not be able to compete with their higher spending rivals.
However, The Sentinel have linked Jurgen Klopp’s side, as well as Stoke City, with in-form Malaga forward Sandro Ramirez, and the Spaniard could be a cheaper viable alternative to the in-demand Lacazette.
The 21-year-old has been in impressive form for the La Liga side this season, scoring 14 goals in his 27 appearances, including two goals in his single Copa Del Ray appearance.

The former Barcelona man has a release clause in his contract for approximately £5million, according to The Sentinel, which would be considered a brilliant piece of business for the Reds if he can maintain his high standards in Europe’s most demanding league.

Bayern tend not to spend huge money on transfers, relative to Real/Barca/Utd etc. So while they probably could afford him they won't be interested at the price quoted.

That sounds like the good old Liverpool. Never mind proven talent at 30 or 40 mill. £5m punt.

When did a 5m striker ever turn out to be any good?

This one is though, as he has scored 14 goals in all competition and has pace too.
