Ludicrous Rumours

I mentioned him last week.
Perfect for our system. Hes the tempo guy.

How old is he though?

Dolberg ruling himself out of a Manchester-move come Summer.

“No, it’s too big a step to go to City or United now," he told FourFourTwo.

“It’s important to keep on playing, as I don’t know what could happen in the future.

“I have not got a dream league. It’s important which kind of club is keen - in terms of playing style and also how it is at the club.

“You look at the whole package.”

Eriksen more or less said the same back when he moved on from Ajax.

Fabregas would probably be a very smart signing.. could be the link in midfield we've missed for some while now.

I wouldn't have said that was the main gap we need to fill in midfield TBH. Wijnaldum does that job just fine at home, though he vanishes in away matches and needs to up that part of his game. IMO what we really need is a Kante or Wanyama type, a player whose main strength is winning the ball in the first place but who has enough about him to use it well when he's done the spadework. Fabregas is a fine player on his day, but I don't think he fits that bill and, as others have said, he'll cost too much.

Kinda agree with that as well, however I do reckon there's too much class in a player like Fabregas for us to not at least consider him should he become available.

No one credible will pay that for a 30 year old.
And we all know Chelsea will loan him if needs be.
He can play HIS game for 5 more years.
Id love us to sign him.

Agree completely.

I reckon Fabregas will be off to Italy.

AC and Inter finally have some money after getting investment so there are options.

And there he really can play on for another 5 years.

I'd have to agree with this.

Inter and AC both under foreign ownership now & looking to make big name signings to get back into the Champions League.

It's perfect for Fabregas to have 2 rivals both wanting him - both clubs will offer insane wages to him and there's no chance we will offer anywhere near what they would.

Imagine if we buy both Lacazette and Dolberg this Summer*.

*dream on.

Speaking of Lacazette - his Lyon teammate Nabil Fekir should be an interesting, probably realistic target.

Back this season, after blowing out his knee last season. Stellar production the season before (14/15), and still just 23. If he hasn't lost any pace or explosiveness from that cruciate ligament injury and if he looks like he's working his way back to his 14/15 form after a whole year out, then he's someone whom I think is worth considering to strengthen our options in our front three.

Belated welcome to the site btw ...
(you're not new on this site though, right? Like a returning veteran)

I still think Lacazette is a possibility. He wants to leave and he wants CL (which looks like it will rule out Arsenal, and Wenger leaving will probably make them slightly less attractive to L1 players in the future too) but his options are going to be relatively limited and it seems we are willing to splash out large on a striker. Whether we are willing to spend enough and whether he would be willing to come to LFC are two unknowns.

Wisdom will be allowed to leave for 4 mill £.
Several clubs interested, but Derby looks most likely.

I've been thinking this *puffs on pipe and exhales a plume of rich fragrant tobacco*.
WATSON!! aka @the count The game's afoot!
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Any of his posts I have read have all been worth it and he is an addition to the site.
If he has had previous with us I don't believe it was as a cunt so already he is on a winner.
🙂
