Lucas off with Rafa to Napoli

I'll be surprised if Rafa goes there. There were reports on the radio this morning that the Napoli president has approached Tottenham for permission to speak to Villarse Boas, but even if that doesn't happen it's hard to see Rafa going back to Italy (a) at all and (b) without his family, which he'd almost certainly have to do.

That said, if he's that keen on Lucas it may not matter where he does go.

Arf. A grand total of 23 minutes after my last post. 😀 I'm still surprised, but there you go. This is why I never won the pools despite doing them for years.

I wonder to what extent Rodgers has changed his view about Lucas. Early on he was raving about him as THE player who 'got' his philosophy, his right hand man on the pitch, his disciple, etc etc. Then he stopped talking about him, or at least people stopped asking about him. If he still thinks the same way then he's going nowhere.

This was Gazzetta's take on what Benitez's Napoli MIGHT look like.

Before his injury for a good while he was consistently one of our best players. Fact. Im happy to give him time.

Maybe he didn't get a chance to recover from his knee injury? I'd be sad to see him go as I like him as a player and a person. He was great to have around the club.

Well that article is very lazy journalism at its best. A whole load of if's and nothing else. I'd sell lucas but I think rodgers still rates him highly and sees him as one of his main players.
