So I'm going to the Swansea with 3 mates of mine. Initially the game should have been on Sunday but was postponed to Monday. Now that we have the Sunday off I wanted to try and get tickets for City's match vs Burnley. But it looks like the fuckers are going to sell this one out.

I'll now try and get some tickets for a lower league match.

Which teams around Liverpool would you recommend to go to on Sunday 28th Dec?

Peter already told me that Tranmere is shit - so I guess this one's out.

Any help would be appreciated.

Preston is a good shout, easy train from Liverpool and I've always felt safe up there. They seem to be doing ok in league one from what I've seen.

Also as moo says, Southport would be good. Nice place, and again only half an hour on the train from Liverpool. They are in the conference so not a great standard, but you will get a ticket no probs. They usually get about 2000 there I believe.

Preston are playing away to Crewe unfortunately. Southport also away.

How's Crewe?

Go to Marine. Established in 1894 and easy to get to from Liverpool city centre. You can walk on Crosby beach with the Antony Gormley statues and Crosby/Waterloo has some decent pubs and places for food. Jason McAteer used to play for them.

Crewe is easy to get to on a Train from Liverpool Lime Street. Ive never been though, so unsure where the ground is, or what the place is like...

Ground is right next to the train station. Minutes away
