Liverpool want Ashley Young

Would be equally happy with either of Silva or Young but given that I have seen more of Young than Silva, and the fact that Young is already acclimatised to the Premiership, I would have a slight preference for him - not sure I see either of them coming though unless alot of cash is freed up from the Alonso sale or;

Not sure about that , it's difficult to say , until they have had the chance to prove it.
He's better, or a little more exciting at least, than Downing, and that's all we can say really.

Young for me doesn't have the skill and strength to be worth so much, I would expect better quality (ala Nando) for that sort of money, not someone who I think is a kick and rush merchant and who is quite weak and tends to fade.

Torres is probably worth £60-70M in today's market. There aren't many now £20M rated players with that level of potential.

And you haven't seen enough of Young; he's clearly one of the stronger wingers playing in the Premiership, stronger too than the other wingers we've been linked with: Silva, Turan, etc.

as for Young and not fading, did you watch Aston Villa's last 15 or so games? what did Young do in them? they didnt win one game, he isnt worth that sort of money

a good player but not a superstar and hence not worth an inflated transfer fee

For Villa, Young has bagged 17 goals and 30 assists in 93 appearances, which is pretty good going.
