What impressed me is that he sprinted forward to get the return pass and when he didn't get it, he got back into position rather than lingering about in attack.

Sterling did excellent, agreed Macca, showed a real maturity to play the position and not dive in or roam too much. Well done, Ibe had a poor game but in extra time his tireless running helped us alot, Agger had a good game overall, I thought he and Wisdom managed to calm things down once Wisdom switched back the centre (no reflection on Toure who I thought was excellent), but Agger helped Wisdom and he looked alot calmer and composed, perhaps Notts Co. ran out of steam too, but anyway.

Not ideal ahead of United to play that long, nice confidence boost for Hendo though and an excellent display overall from Sterling.

He's a bit David Platt-ish. Not that nice to watch but smart and lively and really quite crafty as well.

Notts County deserve a huge amount of credit tonight. They played brilliantly and their fans were superb.

Huge praise to Daniel Sturridge who yet again has given us victory.

Hopefully Rodgers rips into them for this performance and they'll come out with a point to prove against United.

Three games, three wins. We're starting to show consistency and the ability to grind out results.

I wouldn't. I think we need to move away from this 4-2-3-1 esque formation we're playing unless Coutinho is playing in the hole. Henderson will be much more effective making his runs from deep.
