Karius didnt do much wrong. Seeing as he was under insane pressure before this game I thought he did quite well. The defence was good and a first clean sheet is at least something.

The flap and the misplaced pass weren't great.

I expected to take more than 3 games for him to settle into a new country/league/club.

Can showed what a good player he could be last season, but blimey he takes ages to get back his mental sharpness as well as his match fitness. He turned like an oil tanker and thought like a competitor on the Apprentice.

We shouldn't be too despondent. All week the Mancs have been saying that man for man they are better and it will show, well it didn't here because our players are underrated by most.
We had around 66% possession and bar two excellent saves, the one low down was superb, from a world class keeper, we'd have had the points. It was always going to be tough, United have one of the best defensive records in the PL so their defenders are no mugs. A good point that could have been three - we'll get them at OT instead when they have to open up.

They were dross, I'd be fuming if I were a manc fan. Only a worldie of a keeper for them point

That save from Coutinhos shot was insane. World class save from their best player in the last 3 years....

  • Can got sharper as the game progress - good news for us, though I think tonight showed why Gini/Lallana are so important to this team.
  • Lovren/Matip CB partnership looks like a solid one.
  • Studge up front doesn't work against well organized teams - he rarely moves out of the middle of the pitch, and that is far easier for teams to defend against than when you have Mane/Firimino/Coutinho buzzing around the final 1/3.
  • Mane and Coutinho weren't great today - but once Lallana came on, it galvanized them and we proceeded to boss the match.
  • Ashley Young is a fucking cunt - and this is the exact same way Mourinho played against us two years ago (Edit: 3 years ago ... that game). If only we'd had got today's result ...
  • Oh well ... It says a lot I think of where our journey is heading that I'm so disappointed with this result. This manc team is so bang average and Mourinho is stunting Rashford brilliantly.
  • We still need 2 creative players like Coutinho/Lallana/Mane to have a squad that can compete in the league AND a European tourney ...

The game showed how important Gini has been for us. We struggled to move the ball forward quickley in midfield. Thats what his game is all about. Positive passing, always available and the ability to move it forward. Lost our rythm in nearly every attack until Lallana came on.

Hope he's fit this weekend.

I didn't watch the match so can't comment, but it sounds like lallana coming on was the driving force behind our change in performance.

That fair to say?

"They're not the last wonder of the world like you like to say you are." - Hahahaha, fucking hell Mourinho, if you had any doubt he was a bitter obsessed cunt, that line has just confirmed it.

Lallana made a big difference coming on, was quicker and more direct than everyone else.

In the end perhaps unlucky not to win but we never really cut them open.

Zlatan should have nicked it for them.

Not the worst result.

2 points off top after 8 games. Happy fucking days.

Because he drew everyone a picture before the game of what he was going to do, and he did it and it still worked. We played into their hands as we always do against his physical sides, by tossing the ball into the box for our 5 foot nothing attackers to get outjumped for. Same old, same old.
Thing is, his picture of destroying a game using a 500m squad isn't anything i'd ever be proud of.

I don't think its how they played against us 2 years ago at all.

Utd bossed the opening 20 mins and pressed us high up the pitch.

I don't think they parked the bus at all.
