Thing is the likelihood is that those 'fans' have never stepped foot in Anfield though.

Thanks to the OTT media coverage making it sound like this was an entirely new thing (it wasn't, we welcomed coaches in previous years with fans, banners, noise, & flares) & like it often does, the predictions of trouble became self fulfilling.

To be fair FFF makes a good point. My lads and their mates went down just to welcome the bus and try to bunk in, knowing they could watch it in that church if they failed

I was in the pub with @Piedro and missed it all

First goal very important today. I am stuck in Italy. Not sure if the local bar show the game or not. They probably show Napoli at 18.00... need to bribe the bartender with a large order of Beers and Fernet Brancas I guess...
 
Liverpool: Alisson, Gomez, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Milner, Henderson, Mane, Salah, Firmino.
Subs: Mignolet, Fabinho, Keita, Sturridge, Shaqiri, Matip, Alexander-Arnold.
 
Gomez for TAA actually makes sense in many ways, he's been poor the last couple of games.

When you factor in Lovren for Gomez though, that's potentially a big risk.

Klopp's never been afraid to throw players back in for a big game though, in fact, I think he's done it before with Lovren, & it's paid off a fair few of those times if memory serves.

I'd have preferred Clyne for TAA and no tinkering with a solid CB partnership. But ask me again after the match, Lovren could yet play a blinder.
 
Gomez has been brilliant in central defence. Shunting back out to the periphery just to make way for fucking Lovren? Bullshit. It would have been better to just rest him. This is number one bullshit.

That would have been my choice too, but I assume Clyne's reluctance to get forward (relatively speaking to Gomez & TAA) plays a factor.

It's not about Gomez, it's about TAA & replacing him.

I agree, I wouldn't have messed with the cb partnership, but he hasn't done in it in reaction to Gomez in any way IMO.
