Referee is trigger happy when it comes to Liverpool fouling but quite hesitant when dealing with similar or worse transgressions by City. Or am I full og paranoia?

Certainly seemed like it to me, we should have had a penalty, surprised he didn't give them one there.

Alright first half overall. Nervy, not much in it. Coutinho could do with hitting the target. Need to get Sturridge more involved. But overall ok.

Close contest, City have had the edge, just, they've hit the post, we should have had a penalty, Kompany has been the difference.

Yep, but Man C are tactically positioned to limit distribution to Sturridge by having two midfielders in front of the back line. It forces Sturridge wide.

Brilliant save from Ming. Lucas, Milner, Clyne all playing well. Henderson and Can a little anonymous overall. We need to get the front three on the ball in and around the box more.

It's tough for us to get anyone close enough to him because we are trying to protect our back line too. Will come down to a mistake or a moment of real quality either way

Good performance so far. Some were worried we wouldnt turn up but there is no lack of fight today.
Not to much in the attacking third but that could come when the game opens up in the 2nd half.

Great save by Ming, Lucas has been good and I feel for Mamadou.

And limits City as an midfield force, they seem to be happy to play more or less on the break.

Half time thoughts:

  • Oliver is having a good game - and he hasn't made any mistakes. However, he really should have given Fernandinho and Lucas both yellow. Too many fouls that deserve that.
  • Mign's save on Aguero was good - very good. That's what has kept this game 0-0.
  • It was obvious from Sakho's reaction the moment he hit Can that he was hit really badly .... Concussion.
  • Happy with how we're harassing their players all the time - we'll need that for 90 (or 120) minutes to have a chance to win.
  • They're a better team than us - but I think we can still win this.

@Modo Acestream channel is now showing this guy's twitter feed. Is this normal and will resume game at start of second half? Or should I be trying to find a new channel?

No, you aren't. Michael Oliver's not as bad as some, but has been pretty ropey today.
