Can we do it?

Firmino 100% out (just confirmed on the official)

Salah a doubt.

I can’t see it more so for the fact we won’t keep them out at the other end.

Having said that, a goal before ht without conceding would make for a great game.

Becker
TAA
Gomez
VVD
Robertson
Gini
Henderson
Fabhino
Milner
Mane
Shaq

Course we can fucking do it.

We’re Liverpool Football Club.

We beat one of the best Milan teams ever, that had a player in each position that you could argue as being in the top 20 of their positions of ALL TIME, after being 3-0 down at half time.

If we bury our chances, and actually defend, we’ll smash the cunts.

can we do it? of course. Will we do it? Unlikely but I still think we can scare the shit out of them. Salah will play imo.
I'd go with ...

Becker
TAA Matip VvD Robbo

Fabinho
Milner Hendo

shaq

Salah Mane

No. We can't . But I love this team anyway.... But it is not possible for humans to deliver whats needed

If Mo and Bobby are out - we don't stand a chance to go through or even score. Sturridge was really bad in that Newcastle game, totally not in form, and a possible liability given the energy and movement that we will need.

If Mo plays then we should go for our normal back 4, with Fabinio, Gini, and Henderson. Up front the usual Mane, Salah and either Origi or Shaq. If we play Shaq up front then we should play him just behind Mane/Salah - as a creative player, I think he can do a lot of damage as he recently played that position for Switzerland and is producing some good results like their game against Belgium.

I am hoping that the news about Firminio is just mind games by Klopp - is he the type to do that before the Barca game ?

I don’t think we can win the tie but we should be hurting and should try to get our own back a bit.

I'd rather not risk losing the likes of Robbo, VVD and Mane to injury chasing a game that's all but gone, if the first PL title in 30 years was on the line at the weekend (5 days or not).

We should go full throttle first half. If we go in 1-0 up it’s on. Barcas defence is shite. If we concede then take them off.

We should never ever be sacrificing a CL semi final before a ball is kicked in the second leg, regardless of the opponents or score.

We can do it, but it's unlikely. They will score meaning we need at least 5.

If Salah is out then it's game over.

That Barcelona side is nowhere near as far ahead of ours (if it's ahead at all, Messi notwithstanding) as Milan were in 2005. There's no question we have a mountain to climb, but that's what the feckers are there for. Unlikely, yes, but it's defo possible - and you can bet the other lot know it.

Keep the faith.

They definitely know it, did you see how angry Messi was at the end that they didn't make it four? They know its not over.

Actually no, I missed that. A good thought to take into next week.

It was when they broke free & Robbo did some excellent defending until VVD got back, Messi ended up on the deck hitting the ground with his fists in anger & having what looked like a mini tantrum.

Didn't they lose from the same / better positions against Roma and PSG the last two years?

It ain't over yet.
