We have obvious form against them, but we're hardly blowing teams away either, give or take the odd performance, games have been relatively tight. It'll be interesting to see if we up a gear when the games come thick and fast, or whether we become more lethargic and workmanlike.

I think it's time to see more of AOC, to quit experimenting with Gomez at right back (it never works) and to start giving Shaqiri substitute minutes, because he'll prove important once we're playing games back to back. We clearly can't rely on Keita staying fit.

Well we now need only to draw in the last game to qualify. If we cannot do that it is better we go out and concentrate on the PL.

That's always been my point; Matip & VVD are obviously our preferred partnership but when you look at the back-up centre backs at any of our competitors (domestic or CL) you realise how lucky we are to have Lovren and (hopefully sometime soon) a fully fit Gomez.
