Anyone got any information about this? I've seen the rumours, is it confirmed yet?

Will I be able to give my lad tickets for it on his confirmation day (19th May)?

It's in the second week in August. I know coz my mate mentioned it and I'm already somewhere else.

That's all I got.

No it's not confirmed yet, Celtic need SPL permission apparently since it clashes with their season start

I think the ticket prices mooted were outrageous for a friendly.
Something like a starting price of €50.

The Fai have a big debt to service and nobody is showing up to see Trappatoni bore them to death, so it wouldn't be surprising if the FAI were going to up the prices.

It'll be the first potential sell out for a long time, although I reckon it might have been full for the Polish game?

The pressing need is to have something to give my lad on his confirmation day.

For his communion he got a trip to the next Anfield match, so expectations have been set. I had similar lined up for the confirmation, until I realised the match I had sorted out (QPR) was on the same day as the bloody confirmation itself .. and apparently that has to take precedence 🙁

I guess I could always get him a rosary --- but he will likely strangle me with it.

Probably the two highest supported teams in Dublin and probably Ireland so I kinda expected that.

It's also a small price to pay to keep the Dublin riff raff and skanger Celtic supporters that would attend for 20 quid a ticket.

I doubt if it would deter enough of them to make me want to go Leo.
