From day one - I always thought Solanke had something about him as you have observed. I really think he is actually first team material and it is unfair to judge any of our fringe players if they have not had a whole series of games to play with the rest of the first team. Look no further than Firmino and how many minutes he needed before he got his first goal, and also Peter Crouch like took something like half a season before he ended up with 15+ goals for the season. This kid is really good - his awareness and finishing is top, when he had that little moment for England a few months ago - he really bought the other front players into the game more when he came one. I think if we buy anyone - as backup for our front 3 then they will suffer if they don't get enough game time, so we should use what we have and develop it further.
Also delighted for Robertson today - he really deserved that goal the way he has been playing - and serves as a good warning to Madrid that - yeah we got a left back that can wack in a goal to.

When you see some of the ones we have conceded it definitely seems like we haven't got the rub of the green.

Normally yes but because it is a world cup year .. regardless if we win the CL...if either portugal or argentina get far and both their main men do wonders then it will go to one of the two regulars. He has to do well with egypt to have any chance this year.

As I predicted post Roma 2nd leg. The Chelsea result wouldn’t matter and we’d do Brighton sideways with a week long rest. The team are going on holiday now then back for some training. Then we’ll dick Madrid.
I have to blow my own trumpet because as I’m married nobody else will do it.
That week long rest was just what we needed. We had pace and movement back and that’s what is our main weapons.
