Sahin starts - listen live
2nd Sep 2012 - Latest News
Nuri Sahin will make his Liverpool debut in this afternoon's Barclays Premier League clash with Arsenal at Anfield – listen live online from 1.25pm BST.
Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Enrique, Allen, Sahin, Gerrard, Sterling, Borini, Suarez. Subs: Jones, Carragher, Shelvey, Downing, Henderson, Kelly, Coates.

BUT - Sahin and Sterling are playing. And Enrique is also starting. I like this team.

Plan B? Wow...

I think Borini might get a few, he's got plenty of players to set him up in this team. Hopefully we won't need anyone from the bench.

reminds me a bit of rafa's first season when we were pretty bare in a few positions also . Baros was pretty much the only proper striker although pongolle , mellor and le tellec popped up with the odd performance, especially in europe . We were also playing finnan at right mid for a bit at the start if i remember correctly .

Plan B is to throw on 3 more defenders and suck them in ...... then let Sterling run at them and score a his debut PL goal !

Arsenal XI v LFC: Mannone, Jenkinson, Mertesacker, Vermaelen, Gibbs, Cazorla, Arteta, Diaby, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Giroud, Podolski

Arsenal subs: Koscielny, Martinez, Santos, Ramsey, Coquelin, Gervinho, Walcott

Rumors circulating Owen is at the match, apparently due to sign..

Odds of him joining have be slashed right down from 66/1 to pretty much odds on with some bookies

'That was always the plan' says Rodgers about bringing in more in the window. His nose was pointing at the ceiling, which of course for Rodgers Watchers means 'This is the truth and I'm bloody angry, so I am!'

Wow, that has to be one of the poorest looking Arsenal teams I've seen in a while.

So that's 3-0 to them,

Well up for this, their midfield is shite, we should boss them off the park, if we can score in the first 45 and take the pressure off I reckon we could get a couple and be comfortable.

half chance for Borini, he had options but chose to go himself, good to see us getting plenty of players up in support

blazes the resulting freekick over. Arsenal settled well but we seem to be opening it up a bit more now
