So who is it going to be ? It obviously wasn't Johnson and, if Rafa is true to his word, we still have our big money signing to come. If true that would probably mean all these rumours to mediocre, or even good players, are just that ... rumours. So who is it going to be ? Who is going to be our star signing ?

I still think it will be Silva.

I doubt Silva would be more than Torres.

If this is true (although i dont remember it being said and am a bit dissapointed at how classless it is) you would think Tevez or Villa. As i cant think of any other remote links who would cost more than Torres

See the link I've just posted above. 2 yrs on and in this Summer's crazy market Torres would be more like 50M+ (now that is, maybe 30M+ if we were just about to buy him from Atleti). I would be very surprised indeed if Silva were not in the 20 - 25M bracket, and didn't Torres cost us 18M + add ons ?

Silva will cost between £17-20m depending on other clubs interest, and I reckon he's our most likely target.

[/quote]For the last time. Valencia may not want to sell, but their 500m debt is owned by the banks. They dont have a choice, the minute they missed the champions league their squad became a fire sale. Joaquin, Silva, Villa, Mata, Vicente and Albiol will be the ones at risk, and if an offer comes in, they will look at it seriously.

With all the money exchanging hands at the moment, I'd say it's extremely unlikely Villa, Silva and Albiol will be pulling on Valencia shirts next year.

Not sure about Joaquin, Mata & co, though.

If so I would be delighted (assuming we hold on to Xabi, Masher & Reina).

Add a back up striker ... or maybe Tuncay as well ... and we're all set.

Juan mata is a good player, i wouldnt be suprised to see rafa make a move for him. He is being rumoured to be worth 22mil. maybe silva is a smokescreen? ehh i dont know
