Liverpool related transfer speculation

Maybe because we've only played a quarter of the season and our midfielders are already showing clear signs of fatigue.

Eh?

Gravy, Slobbers, Endo, CJ & Morton haven’t shown any signs of fatigue - it’ll be argued that Mac A has, but as Momo suggested that’s likely more to do with international duty and niggly injuries leading to him being out of form than actual fatigue.

The ones that matter are fatigued. Szobo, Macca that's 2 out of 3.
Jones can't be trusted and Endo is 47.

...and you have the nerve to mention Morton.

Shame on you.

Do you want to re-think the “Jones can’t be trusted” line - or shall I dismiss it as Modofication of an English player.

Slobbers looks fine - and Slots managing his minutes now that CJ is showing a bit of form - so we’re good.

Which 50m plunge tickles your fancy the most?

Liverpool are preparing a £50m (60m euros) bid for Real Madrid's 24-year-old France midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni. (Fichajes - in Spanish)

Liverpool and Bayern Munich have been told by Eintracht Frankfurt they will need to pay upwards of £50m to prise 25-year-old Egypt striker Omar Marmoush away from the club. (Fussball News - in German)

Arsenal have held talks with the agents of Sporting forward Geovany Quenda, with the 17-year-old also a target for Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool. (Teamtalk)

I say buy from Madrid so we look like super fools
Look if Trent leaves for Madrid - so what ? - yes we lose a creative RB - I mean Klopp's gone we don't need a creative RB. Slot ain't one for a creative RB from what we have seen, and to be quite frank - Trent's long distance passing of late has been utter shit. There is no way our club should be making our RB one of the highest paid players - RB's are not worth that much in the market.

Also - I am not sure Tchouameni is the player we are after for midfield - I don't think he is Slot's type. Also - can Marmoush play on the right if we wish to future proof for Mo's eventual departure ?

Trent can leave and join the Sith order for all I care. But I still don't want us to buy from them cunts. Remember how we gave them Owen and in return we got some bread crumbs from the bottom of their toaster.

you do realise slot doesn't make the decisions, its Hughes. What's your solution to the #6 role because Grav can't play every game? I suppose Endo could do the role but someone like Tchuameni would allow a more fluid MF and lets behonest we all knew Endo's time was limited due to his age

And a Champions League trophy.

Also… Trent’s not being allowed into the Sith Order… he lacks conviction, has too much faith in his friends and doesn’t have the hate to give him focus.

Sounds like a heap of horse dung to me, why would Madrid take a 40m hit for a guy that's still young?

Kroos retired, Modric likely following in the summer or off to MLS somewhere and it's not as if he's exactly rotting away on their bench is he? He's started near enough every one of their games.

This would be an incredible signing, and a show of intent for the second part of the season. Having another potential starter in that double pivot also gives us more of an opportunity to have Jones challenging Szobo for the AM role too.

Tchewy is one of the fabled trio of midfield gems that Klopp wanted…we’d have Grav / Tchewy and leave Bellingham to act the dick in Madrid.

He’d also be busting a gut to get his career back on track with Grav as an inspiration.

Holy Jebus, January came early this year.

Hope we do get a striker, but Jonathan David ain't it. We'd be replacing Nunez with Canadian Nunez. Not ability-wise, but he's going to be another project.

Yes recognize these issues and all good points. We do need that player that can tackle - basically an athletic Endo type with a better ability on the ball. I am not convinced that Tchouameni is an adequate cover for what Grav does though. I really wish we had signed Manu Kone in the summer. We do need a physical powerhouse in midfield in certain games when we face players like Lavia, and some of those players from Bournmouth.
