Liverpool related transfer speculation

I'm hopeful he's limited by Ipswich, rather than ability. Hard to shine when you're feeding on scraps.

But you're right. He's very uninspiring. But I think that's the price range we'll go for
I actually think Delap may turn outbto be as good as Kane. He has fed of scraps and still got 12 PL goals this season.

Gotta be honest, when I saw the £45m quoted fee for Kerkez I thought it was a bargain. Was expecting them to push for much more than that. You know like how there's always some crazy headline price as a starting point for negotiations, like £100m for Gibbs-White etc.

£45m for a great PL proven player with 10 years ahead of him, seems more than reasonable. If people are worried about him 'only' being a full back, just imagine what a shit hot young striker would cost. You'd be looking at £100m MINIMUM.

Yep, he's a full back who would be a source of goals and assists down the left. It would instantly make Gakpo / Diaz even more potent with another high level threat finally joining them.

No, it's because harry kane was the greatest English goalscorer of the last 15 years.
Compare to what Delap is doing to what Solanki did at that age. The kid grew up in the City Academy, has belief in himself - that's why he left, he just needs a better supporting cast and you will all see.

Here is the probability of each of our FWDs leaving (imho) in the summer
Darwin 90%
Cheesy 75%
Diaz 65%
Jota 55%

If all 4 leave, I think we need 3 at most.
Delap is a #9
Cunha can play anywhere in the front 3

During the winter transfer window, Las Palmas agreed a deal to sign Stefan Bajcetic on loan for the remainder of the season. And during his time back in La Liga, the 20-year-old has been a ray of light for the Gran Canaria club. He has stepped up in the absence of captain Kirian Rodriguez, and during Saturday’s crucial 3-1 victory at Getafe, he was a standout performer.

Liverpool have been following Bajcetic’s progress at Las Palmas, and although they are sure to have been impressed, it appears that he will not return to their first team squad in the summer, with the idea being for him to go back on loan.

Relevo have reported that Bajcetic will almost certainly remain in La Liga next season, as it is his preferred destination to continue developing his game. And at this stage, the team most interested in agreeing a loan deal with Liverpool is Villarreal.

Villarreal have good midfield options at the moment with Dani Parejo, Pape Gueye and Santi Comesana, but with European football set to return to La Ceramica next season, head coach Marcelino Garcia Toral would require more strength in depth – and he would get that with Bajcetic.

La Liga is better for having players like Bajcetic in it, so for neutrals, it will be a delight if the Liverpool midfielder were to return in the summer. Villarreal would be an excellent place for him to continue honing his game, and should Parejo remain at La Ceramica, he would be an ideal mentor for the young pivot.

It probably makes sense for his development but also makes it less likely that he'll ever break into our side. I could see him being sold after next season.

I see we have been linked with Mitoma from Brighton, 60/70m. Once again a decent player on his day but a bit of a one trick pony, not a great passer either.

He’s got 2 years left on his current deal. Brighton will sell him for a decent fee and he’ll drop off a cliff performance wise.
I’d stay well clear imho.
