Liverpool related transfer speculation

Mbuemo is a steadsy eddie, woeks hard too. Would be a decent signing, but perhaps lacking the x-factor.
That is something Kudus has, so it depends how we want to play this.

Lad is talented, but could he make the step up?

Who would you suggest?

I dunno, to be honest, I’d we extend Mo, we’d be just as well sticking with bringing Doak through, particularly if Cheesie actually does get fit.

Sign Diaz and Gakpo up for the right side and then make a decision on a new central forward with one of Jota or Nunez being sold off.

Mbuemo and Kudus feel very meh for the money quoted. Kudus has a lot of upside, but in honesty you expect more development there after playing in the PL for a bit now. 80 mill for that is not even close to being interesting.

If they want to sell Jota and Nunes for Davis and Marmoush in the summer great. But for We need to strengthen the back. Tsimikas is injury prone too. Sundays game I am not looking forward to it at all. They don't us winning 20, and taking out VVD could be there way of throwing a spanner in the works.

They’ve got more pressing issues than just stopping us.

We’re signing a LB - but maybe in the summer.

I don’t think we sell 2 forward - just 1 and bring 1 in… unless it’s Cheesie that’s the second forward because he couldn’t get fit.

Nunez is rarely injured but shite, whereas Jota is good but injured a lot (I think having him as the 2nd striker makes sense).

A replacement for Endo is likely… even if it’s Badger.

If Trent, Mo & Virgil stay - then that’s it - a new LB with Tsimikas likely off and Robbo allowed to run down his contract as rotation if he wants to, an Endo replacement (probs Badger), a Nunez replacement and maybe a Cheesie replacement.

We already have a new keeper coming in.

Moves financed by selling Irish Kevin, Donkey and probably Morton (don’t expect much for Endo, Tsimikas or Cheesie - that might bring in near £100m, which should cover a LB & a forward or two with a little bit of a spend.

Depends if we fancy promoting or cashing in on any of the kids.

Mirror reporting that Chiesa wants to go out on loan in January. After a 6 month pre season that sounds like the sort of attitude we want….

Any interest in Ania at Forest. He’s available on a free at the end of the season and has had a stellar season so far at LB.

Would have loved KDB 3 years ago.

Schar at Newcastle could do a job as 4th/5th choice CB who is also free at the end of the season

If Chiesa was definitively bought as a no.2 to Mo, to rotate in 20% of the time and protect our key asset, we’d just as well bring Doak back and give him some Prem / Cup experience to build on a super promising Championship loan period.

His stellar season is at right back and he’ll be 29 this year.

Me wanting and getting is two different things. I want a CB and LB ideally as I can forsee us having another injury crisis at the back because half of them are made of weetabix. I hope I am wrong ofcourse. Despite for several seasons calling for a CDM and not being happy with Endo, I think Morton and Endo can cover till the summer.
However, we know the DNA of this club, there isn't going to be a winter signing in the areas I deem a priority...

It depends on how far away from fitness Big Ibou is and how bad JoGo’s injury is.

That plus what’s actually available and not ridiculously priced.

LB can wait till summer.

Bloke I used to work with is a W.Ham fan and goes to see them when they play away games in the Midlands. In his view Kudus is overrated - plenty of potential, and sometimes of actual product, but too unreliable too often.

That’s what I recall being said about him at Ajax - but people got all excited because he scored a cracking goal against us.

To be fair, Mane was viewed the same at Southampton?
