I’d be amazed if Liam Delap stays at Ipswich beyond this season. He’s a powerful, aggressive young striker who seems unfazed by the step up into the Premier League. He’s as close to a young Shearer type that I’ve seen in a decade.
I’m calling a 60-70m move next summer to a top six side.
Hope it's just paper talk. I had no problem with him deciding to stay put at Sociedad, but it begins to look as though he hardly made a decision at all but basically just ran screaming into the night. I'd want more mental strength from a Liverpool signing than that.
There's an English saying that "the apple never falls far from the tree", but it doesn't apply in football and Delap is one example. Jack Grealish is another - his dad Tony was a decent but not outstanding MF with a mere fraction of his son's attacking talent, though a sight more consistency.
Didn’t I read somewhere that he has yet to sign the new contract Sociedad offered him?
Hopefully his decision making on passing is better than on transfers.
Appaz they didn't keep their word about a new contract after he rejected a move this summer. It was quite quickly off the table and their poor start to the season, Sporting director leaving and the chance to replace his idol Rodri at City would be enough for most to reconsider.
Is that just emotional hurt you are expressing or based on fact ?Zubi is a cold feet little wetwipe who looks like he should be on Ice Age.
Plus he’s absolutely fucking shite.
Quentin Timbers@bluebell - who are we gonna sign, what is the word on the street ? Do you know of any player that is like Camavinga ? Is that guy from Atalanta like him ? Also not sure Zubi is gonna be good emough for PL.
He was good the other night against CityQuentin Timbers
He has been good for a few seasonsHe was good the other night against City
We have a goal keeper named AlissonNo, because of the name 😆
Nah. Compare it to Stevie.Pressure schmessure. He needed to be able to withstand that if coming here was what he really wanted. If he's going to tiddle about over something like that, how will he stand up to the pressure of joining the Premier League leaders?
Sorry mate but I don't think so. After Stevie decided not to go he didn't then start fluttering his eyelids at Chelsea again.
Yeah I was just thinking it was twice but couldn't remember the details.I seem to recall 2 summers where he definitely fluttered his eyelashes. 5 summer and maybe 06?
Nah. Compare it to Stevie.
Has anyone seen much of Nmecha at Dortmund?

There's a lot to like there are some similarities with Grav. It could be another option if City move for Zubi or he wants to be a one club man.
