Liverpool look to pull Rabiot out of a hat

I've read that a few times now, what am I missing?
The guys is a proper Yorkshire lad, loves Leeds and will probably finish his career there. Fans love him too. Best chance to play with them will be next season when they get promoted to the premier League.
In the end, it's just a hunch, so I don't know for sure.

Except there's the small matter of his wages, our transfer fee, and the fact his career is far from over.

Remember when Fowler rejoined us? City did us and him a solid. So I don't think the transfer fee will be an issue, especially since we signed him for nothing.

A solid? Fowler did fuck all when he rejoined us. Total waste of time.

Have to say, the stampede today from Liverpool sources to say that we have absolutely no interest in Rabiot, "what the fuck you talking about?" "who is this guy anyway?" "Klopp talking to who's mum? Who is this Klopp you speak of anyway?" smacks of our post-Virgil panic at being caught with our hand in the tappy jar. I'm actually much encouraged by it.

Any interest only makes sense if we're giving up on Lallana or Milner is telling us he's not signing a new deal. Both of which is plausible.

Milner's current deal doesn't run out next summer though. It runs till the following summer so, although it's certainly not impossible, I'd be a little surprised if the Rabiot interest were a response to his situation, especially given the cracking form he's in at the moment.

Lallana's another matter. Yet another injury, out of the team for some time lately, but still young enough and good enough (whatever anybody says) to attract interest - now might be the time for him to look for.pastures new.

I'm pretty sure Milner's contract expires at the end of this season.

I got strange Aquilani vibes watching these compilations. It's probably just hair but still

Except scoring 5 goals in 14 league games to keep us in the cl spots.

Those first 6 months were not a waste of time.

He had three goals ruled out for offside before he scored and then he scored 4 in 5 games including the winner in two games.

He was flying and the season ended too quickly for him.

His last season was terrible but to say the whole thing was a waste of time is incorrect.

RABIOT ASKING FOR LOFTY PACKAGE TO MAKE MOVE

Liverpool, Barcelona, Man City and Tottenham have been put on high alert after reports in France suggested PSG’s hopes of keeping Adrien Rabiot beyond this summer were officially over.
The midfielder missed on a place in the France’s World Cup squad and is said to be ready to move on from PSG to step out of the shadows of some of his more illustrious colleagues.

PSG are desperate to get the player, out of contract next summer, to commit to a new deal, with Thomas Tuchel outlining his importance to his side.
But Paris United claims Rabiot’s relationship with the club’s sporting director Antero Henrique has reached the point of no return, with the midfielder once again refusing to sign a new deal and confirming his intentions to move on.
But with a number of European powerhouses all linked with a move for the player, it’s claimed signing him – despite the fact he’ll be available on a free transfer – will not come cheap.
Furthermore, Mundo Deportivo claims Rabiot is demanding wages of €10million per season, which works out at £170,000 a week. In addition, they say Rabiot is also looking for a substantial signing-on bonus of another €8m (£7.1m).
The report says his demands are far higher than what PSG are prepared to offer him and it’s expected the 23-year-old will now instruct his agent to secure him a transfer – and the wages he craves at the same time.
The player will be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with interested overseas suitors from January 1.
