Only recovered from the weekend now so said I'd jot down a few words about our trip the weekend.

I made a stupid decision to go out Saturday night. Very very stupid when you realise the flight was at half six Sunday morning. I remember having 9-10 pints then it was time for the nightclub where I can only presume double vodka/jager we're enjoyed . Next thing I remember is being in Liverpool. Haha. What a way to travel, the flight the train etc were all a blur.

Checked into the international inn and crashed on the couches in the games room for a bit until it was a reasonable time to hit the pub. A fry and pint around 11.45 and we we're on our way again. We are always late to the Harry and I got the usual text from Sean, wondering where we were. Hoped in a taxi, and got to Harry just in time to get a quick pint in. Sean and Dougie dished out the membership cards and we made our way to the ground.

I passed the united fans and a chorus of "murderers" was sang in our direction. Classy. Got to my seat and it was time for the team news. The 6cm seat is a fantastic spot to watch the game from. Lower centenary, down by the KOP.

Suarez was magnificent and "Happy Birthday King Kenny" was one of my favourite moments at a match EVER. I'm a huge Dirk Kuyt fan so obviously I was over the moon with his three goals. I don't care that they we're tap in, long live the Dirk.

There was a spring in my step on the walk back to the Harry and the place was buzzing. Meet with big smiles and high fives from Sean and the drink was flowing again. Portly, Vlad and Vlad's son joined us for a pint and we also had Dougie and the ever present Bobby. The Harry we're giving out free curries which was fucking random but ace as it was the only food we ate after the game. We ploughed ourselves with drink, sure it was Dougie's Birthday, it would have been rude not to. Ha. Sean's missus and son called to collect him but we had no intentions of leaving the Harry. Sure we had Bobby there for a drinking partner and we we're happy out. Thankfully we didn't give Karaoke a whirl but Bobby informed us Avvy gave it a blast on his last outing. 😉

The pints are flowing and we left the Harry to head into town but everything is all a blur now. We met Vlad's son who was dead sound but I was shit company. Aidan wasn't too bad but the drink in the Harry only topped up the drink I had from the night before and I was only fit for the bed. hahaha.

Another great trip to Liverpool and what a fucking win. Excellent hospitality from the locals again. Probably my last visit for a year or so now but what a way to go out.

Ugh !

That's not nearly as long as one of Pervvy Avvy's cocks, sorry, posts, posts, I meant posts !!!!

Timewaster.

haha, it was a pleasure to see you and Aidan again David, thanks for the pint in The Harry.
Yes our Tom said you were good lads, and he had a good night out with the two of you, even if you were a bit little shit faced, something about dancing on the tables in The Crack too 😉

regards

Great post, Dave...

I can't help feeling jealous; what a day, and what a match..

That seat really is a great vantage point; though I will always prefer that Great Wall of Sound to the left...glad you had a great time, and after Paddygate you deserved it...though you cant have been that shit-faced if Bobby didnt get you on the karaoke machine ;D

You forgot to thank me for pretty much literally carryng you the whole way from Waterford to Liverpool. PS my "wasn't too bad" did include tripping over an amp in some pub to the amusement of about 20 people.
