Olympiakos Pireaus expect to sign winger Albert Riera from Liverpool by the end of this week, the Greek club's coach Ewald Lienen said on Wednesday. "Unless there is a major surprise then he will be our player," Lienen told reporters. "He is a great player who has proven his worth both at club level and for the Spanish national side."

I didn't want us to sign Riera as I thought he'd been a real nothing player at Citeh, but I was pleasantly surprised at the way he started. It was a pity that he couldn't seem to sustain that in the end.
