Great first half. We played very well, I thought, considering how weak our team looks on paper. Plessis's done much better than I expected, as has Degen; Voronin needs to learn from Kuyt's attitude; Wash has been encouragingly skilful at times; Babel's been depressingly anonymous as usual. But overall a decent performance. Would be ace to beat this much-vaunted Arsenal 'youth' team at the Emirates...
 
Ngog looks really up for this game. Confident in taking on the defenders. Voronin has been sleep walking. His flicks are atrocious. Spearing and Plessis have been chasing shadows at times, but are putting in a shift. Babel has been the usual.
 
First half, 1-1.

Decent performance by us.

Our defence is solid enough. The central midfield are battling. Kuyt was as industrious as ever. Babel and Voronin are a bit shit, N'Gog tries hard.

Best player on the park is easily the 18 year old Ramsey. He was pulling all the strings for them, I don't think we have any youngster half as talented as him. He's gonna be some player for them.
 
1-1 seems fair so far. It's about time a few players stepped up now though, Plessis has been twice the player Spearing has so far, and Babel and Voronin should be flogged after their first half performances.

The goal was great obviously, though he's not played very well
 
I think we've got control of the middle but their quick passing and moving means their exposing a lot of space on our flanks.

Both sides guilty of gifting possession away far too easily
 
N'Gog has been very good for us up front.

Is it impossible to get a backup keeper to play a few Carling Cup games a season without looking like a disaster waiting to happen?

Two awful decisions by Cavalieri in that half that could've cost us dearly.
 
Diego doesn't inspire confidence. A bit of a flapper for one so big. Makes me appreciate Pepe even more. Babel is depressing to watch. Poor lad, his time is up!
 
this has been a cracking little match so far... im really enjoying it.... if we can stop losing the ball so much ( Voronin take note) then we have got a good chance i reckon.
 
Just saw the highlight again, and Ramsey is very able with his left too.

He put in one delicious through ball with the outside of his left. zOMG

N'Gog has been excellent, delighted with him. Degen doing surprisingly well, Insua, great goal but dodgy defending still imo. Diego....less said the better, lets hope Reina never ever gets injured
