Kaide Gordon has impressed me every time I've seen him play. He's a special player and can really go far.

Wow that's great, they're in the final again.
A bit unfortunate that Gordon is cup-tied. We would have been even more dominant.

[article]Mateusz Musialowski

Nicknamed the 'Polish Eden Hazard' for his close control and dribbling skills, Musialowski is a well-known name among Reds fans despite only arriving in August 2020.

The 17-year-old already has an award to his name after winning Liverpool's goal of the month for March after taking on seven players before scoring a wonderful solo goal against Newcastle U18s, breaking Mohammed Salah's six-month streak for the award.

He ran the show in the semi-final against Ipswich with a dazzling display which included the opening goal, and a similar performance against Villa could put him in good stead for first-team minutes next season.

James Balagizi

Another player with eye-catching physical superiority at this level is attacking midfielder Balagizi.

Liverpool nabbed Balagizi from Premier League rivals Manchester City at the age of 10 and he has since been earmarked as a player of huge potential, with a notable hat-trick against Leicester in the last-16 of this competition among his 22 goals overall this season.

The England U17 international signed his first professional contract in September and has already spent much of this season training with the senior side. Klopp could be watching him eagerly on Monday.

Billy Koumetio

The only player on this list to have already played in the Champions League, Koumetio is another player to watch out for in the final.

The big French defender was a half-time introduction for Fabinho against FC Midtjylland in December and has been a fixture in Liverpool's first team training sessions this season, notably nutmegging Sadio Mane during a session.

'Billy the Kid' is also a U23 regular despite being only 18 himself, and his inclusion in the heart of defence could be key to stopping Villa's dangerous attack.

Max Woltman

A Wirral-born striker who is another with a more-than-handy goal return at youth level, with 13 goals in 27 appearances this season.

But it is the 17-year-old's off-the-ball contributions that are often noted in his displays, with Woltman often operating as a false nine for the U18 side.

With Roberto Firmino playing in a similar position for the first team, it's not hard to see how Woltman might fit into Klopp's team in the future should he continue his progression. [/article]

[article]Liverpool U18s wrapped up their 2020-21 schedule with a 4-1 friendly defeat of Tottenham on Saturday afternoon.

Jarell Quansah, Kaide Gordon, James Norris (penalty) and Tyler Morton were on target
for the young Reds in Kirkby to sign off their season in style.

It was an action-packed final outing of 2020-21 for Marc Bridge-Wilkinson's side as they looked to shake off the disappointment of losing the FA Youth Cup final on Monday night.

Liverpool U18s: Mrozek, Wilson, Chambers, Quansah, Koumetio, Corness, Gordon, Morton, Woltman, Norris, Frauendorf.

Substitutes: Musialowski, Stephenson.

Introducing Conor Bradley, the Co Tyrone teen tipped for the top
[article]Northern Ireland football fans are excited to see the development of Conor Bradley over the months and years ahead.

The versatile Liverpool teenager made his senior international debut in Sunday night's 3-0 win over Malta.

Bradley enjoyed a brief cameo appearance for Ian Baraclough's side, coming on for captain Stuart Dallas.

And it is hoped it is the first of many caps or the Co Tyrone youngster.

But who is Conor Bradley?

Here's some more info on Northern Ireland's emerging football star.

Profile
Name : Conor Bradley
Where from : Castlederg
Age : 17
Club : Liverpool
Position : Defender

Early career
Bradley kicked off his burgeoning career with Castlederg club St Patrick's before moving on to Dungannon United Youth. It was from there he joined Liverpool on a scholarship deal in summer 2019.

Liverpool career
Bradley has featured for Liverpool's Under 18s, 19s and 23s during his time on Merseyside. He started off with Liverpool's Under 18s and made his debut against Wrexham in September, 2019.

He went on to feature in Liverpool's U18 Premier League campaign before the onset of coronavirus.

Bradley represented Liverpool’s U23 and U19s sides during the 2019-20 season and made 16 appearances for the U23s during the 2020/21 season.

Pro deal
Bradley signed a three-year professional contract with Liverpool back in July last year.

First-team experience
The Castlederg teen was part of Liverpool's pre-season training last summer. The 17-year-old was one of several Academy starlets to join established Anfield stars Mo Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane, Jordan Henderson and others for the session at Melwood.

What they said...
Describing Bradley, Liverpool said on their website: "A versatile and athletic player, Bradley has played most of his Liverpool games at right-back for the U18s, although he can also be deployed further forward.

"His first goal arrived against West Bromwich Albion in November and he scored a superb effort versus Tottenham Hotspur on his FA Youth Cup debut in December.

"One of Bradley's season highlights was a late headed winner against Stoke City in January and, by the end of the campaign, he had also made his bow in the UEFA Youth League and with the U23s in the Premier League International Cup fixture with Paris Saint-Germain."

International career
Bradley featured at underage level for Northern Ireland and was called up to Ian Baraclough's senior team this month for the games against Malta and Ukraine, joining fellow young recruit Sam McClelland.[/article]

A potential loan partnership? 🙂

[article]Critchley took over at Bloomfield Road in March 2020 after more than six years at the Liverpool Academy, where he was appointed as coach of the under-18s before taking over the U23s side in the summer of 2017.

He was in charge of just two games at Blackpool before last season was curtailed due to the coronavirus pandemic, with his side losing six of their first nine League One matches this term before a run of just two defeats in 22 saw them finish third for a play-off spot.

And asked if he was contact with the likes of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, his U18s successor Steven Gerrard - now manager of Rangers - and other Academy staff, Critchley said: "They all keep in touch. A special football club, special people.

"I know that if I ever need any advice or anyone to speak to, there's no better people than them.

"I've been incredibly fortunate to work with some special people, Alex (Inglethorpe) at the Academy as well.

"I get to stand here today, which is nice, but there have been a whole lot of people who I need to thank for this day."

Critchley twice took charge of the Liverpool first team, helming an Academy side that lost 5-0 at Aston Villa in the League Cup quarter-final in December 2019 but then guiding a similarly young line-up to a famous 1-0 FA Cup win over Shrewsbury Town at a packed Anfield two months later.

And speaking on Sky Sports, when asked if his Reds departure was justified by winning promotion, Critchley said: "Not just today, but the whole season. The support I have been given from the owners, the players and the staff is incredible.

"After the start we had, to finish here in this manner, I have nothing but praise for everyone who has supported me this season."[/article]
