If we had poulson playing today at least we would have had a dm and they couldn't exploit the space

Way to kill the thread. HAHAHA

Yeah let's look at the positives.

* We finally have a great set of defenders. We're pretty much covered.
* We have Suarez
* We're still in the League cup and Fa cup, also we're not completely our of the race for fourth.

Here's a bright side thing, even with us losing a match, I think Agger is dead sexy moving forward and I love watching him strike the ball.

I think the brightside is that Suarez is nearly back and Suarez and Bellamy = No more Carroll in the starting XI

Not quite. Glen Johnson will never fall into the "great defender" category - never, ever. I don't think Kelly's anywhere near as good as many seem to believe.

Could do with a new right back imo. Agger, Skrtel and Enrique are top players though.

This season after 21/22 games:

City on 51
Utd on 58
Spurs on 46
Chelsea on 41
Arse on 36
Newc on 36
Us on 35

Last season:
Utd on 44
City on 42
Arse on 40
Spurs on 36
Chelsea on 35
Sunderland on 33

Us on 25 (12th place!)

Rafa's final season:
Chelsea on 48
Utd on 47
Arse on 45
Spurs on 38
City on 38
Villa on 36
Us on 34

We've been shit for a while now, Kenny has a big task to do. Rome wasn't built in a day, etc.

On the "Rome wasn't built in a day" thing...

We've never seen other clubs spend lots of money and buy instant improvement in their form, have we?

Not from a nobody style position, no.

When City got money they bought Corluka, Elano, Caicedo, Jo and a bunch of nobodies.Chelsea were already in the CL.

How long are we meant to keep up being grateful for not being at rock bottom any more? A year? Two years?

I'm over G&H and I'm over Roy. It's history. I care about the now. And whilst things are more stable [behind the scenes] watching Liverpool is still an awful frustrating experience.

I want our managers to take a fucking risk.

Gamble on someone from Spain for £17M rather than spunk a large chunk of a budget on someone predictably average like Downing, Pennant, etc.

I also don't get how much faith they have in their players on the pitch that all our managers seem to refuse to bring on a youth player - an unknown that *might* conjure something out of nothing, rather than Adam or someone who definitely won't.

Of course we have, just add another 450 mill like City

South america, Spain or even Mexico. More players with fucking flair like Suarez and I'd be a happy camper.

A night off as the rest of the team. No cause for concern IMO.

On the bright side Carroll and Bellamy were both good individually and as a partnership.

Nothing else makes me feel positive today.

Just watched Moneyball, John Henry is such a boss in it. He offered to make Billy Beane the highest paid General Manager in sports history off one year of his system ($12.5m 2 years later the Red Sox won it with Billy's principals). He is what makes me have confidence that we will get it right. We will climb to the summit thanks to him. He'll fire Dalglish if its necessary, and he'll get the right guy and spend the necessary money. No doubt about it.
