Game 1 we got off on the wrong foot and were robbed by the ref...
Our first big clash against City was red card disaster which inspired them to go on a record winning streak, including 2 or 3 dodgy extra extra time wins...

I think it affects the team's spirit if you are consistently winning, there has been a few occasions when we've been hobbled by the ref this season, Spurs at home, Everton at home, United away, Stoke home, Watford away (game fucking 1) West Brom home .... that's 6 games there were in a luck sense we've been cost points by a ref.

YES it does even out I suppose, City in the champs league was a nice boost from the ref, but still...

We've needed a bigger squad and that's been shown this last month hasn't it, when weve been playing twice a week with an injured squad... I really don't see that United or Spurs for that matter are better than us even if the table says otherwise.

The only way to prove it suppose is by winning Big Ears again...

If someone observes me they will see me die in the likely event that we lose. But the secret is that I can't very well observe myself die, and I have no way of knowing what the other person has observed, so my only outcome in this situation is to live and celebrate the win. So that's what will happen.

Now that you mention it, perhaps it is a bit extreme over a football match. It might make sense to do it over the lottery numbers. Or over the death of someone newsworthy. For instance I can rig the bullet to kill me if the mornings headlines do not contain the news of Lucas' tragic passing. There will be at least one universe in which he will have been tragically killed, and that would be the only universe the bullet would allow me to experience.

I dare say this world cup is huge for Salah, Firmino, Mané, Hendo etc as well as Ronaldo, Isco, Modric, Kroos etc. Obviously the CL final is a huge occasion too and I have no doubt both teams will be playing at 100% but prior to that I think both sets of players will be "off the pace" a bit.
